My name is Heather, and I am located in Northern New Jersey. I love NASCAR auto racing, hence the prefix "Octane"--it's also a tie to my love of science and my career.
Dogs have been a large part of my life since I entered high school. I got Princess my Cocker as a puppy when I started high school. Then I was fortunate to own the best dog I ever met--Darien my greyhound. He taught me a lot about canine nutrition and medical care. Darien had everything from thyroid to skin problems and was taken from me at only 8.5 years old to cancer. His tribute is on the "Rainbow Bridge" page. I wanted to show dogs for a long time, and finally got a chance to do so with Elvis. I now have Priscilla, Iggy Pop and CC to carry on where my former dogs left off.
PLEASE NOTE: I breed VERY infrequently. I will only breed when I have room to keep at least one puppy for myself to go on. Another reason why I don't breed often is that everyone lives in my home with me underfoot and on the couch. I strive for excellent temperaments and correct structure and movement. Priscilla has been my "dream dog"--fun, loving, smart and beautiful to boot!
My dogs are house pets, first and foremost. They hog the furniture, shed everywhere and beg for food! Dog shows are a fun thing that we also happen to do on the side.
