Management Heather Reisman - Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Prior to starting Indigo Books Music and more in 1996, Ms. Reisman was the President of Cott Corporation, during which time the Canadian-based soft drink manufacturer grew from a small regional private label pop company to become the largest supplier of quality retailer-branded beverages in the world. For the first 15 years of her career, Ms. Reisman led an industry-leading strategic change firm widely recognized for its pioneering work in the field of change management. Ms. Reisman is a former Governor of McGill University and of the Toronto Stock Exchange. She has served and continues to serve on several boards in media, communications, manufacturing and retailing including Rogers Cable, 724 solutions and Vincor International. She is also an Officer and member of the Executive Committee of Mount Sinai Hospital. Doug Caldwell - Chief Technology Officer Mr. Caldwell oversees all technology decisions and direction for Indigo's e-commerce engine and internal technology infrastructure. Prior to joining our team in September 2000, Mr. Caldwell held the position of Practice Manager for Microsoft Canada’s national e-commerce consulting practice. Mr. Caldwell was with Microsoft Canada for six years and worked on a variety of innovative technical projects including providing consulting services to Chapters Online’s Web site development team. Mr. Caldwell previously worked for several years at a major Canadian grocery chain where he directed Inventory control and its wholesale systems development team. Mr. Caldwell holds a Bachelor degree in Applied Science from the University of Toronto Deirdre Horgan - Senior Vice-President, Marketing Ms. Horgan is responsible for overall marketing and brand management in both the store and online businesses. She spent the first part of her career as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group working on strategic and brand development assignments in the consumer goods and retail industries. She is an economics graduate with high distinction from the University of Western Ontario, and is the recipient of several academic honours. Ms. Horgan has been with Indigo since 1998 and in that time has led the development of the Indigo.ca website in addition to being responsible for online business development. Kathy Weston - Executive Vice-President, Procurement Ms. Weston has been with Indigo Books & Music, Inc. since October 1998. Ms Weston has fifteen years of senior management experience in retail. Previously, she held the position of Vice President, Finance with National Grocers/Loblaws and Senior Vice President, Finance with Midland Walwyn. Ms Weston has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Accountant Ian Young - Chief Financial Officer Mr. Young is responsible for all corporate finance and financial reporting related issues in addition to Real Estate Legal and Corporate Governance. Ian brings with him extensive operational and corporate finance expertise developed over 13 years retail experience with major retailers in Canada and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Chapters in January 2001, Ian spent seven years with Dylex Limited in various senior financial positions as a member of its executive team, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Young is a CA, having spent seven years with KPMG and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
