Learn To Love
Ever get that feeling,
Like everything is going,
Out of focus,
All things that once were so simple,
Feel so unreal,
Brushing your teeth, eating,
Even having to wake up,
You're walking through life,
Like a ghost,
What you touch,
Sends your fingers numb,
Your a zombie just,
Floating through space,
People smile and laugh,
You can't bring yourself to talk,
Your just so tired,
Sick of it all,
But you can't stop,
You must go on,
This life is so fake,
And the people in it,
You feel your anger rising,
And you just want to escape,
But instead you resort to yourself,
Finding a haven,
Deep within your soul,
Those people are laughing,
They're pointing at you,
They speak with pride of,
What you have become,
But you know that they just don't care,
This space is your own,
It is of your making,
No one needs to be happy,
You don't have to be sad,
This is my world,
In a little box,
Picture frames hang on a wall,
Flowers in a vase,
A rose just for you,
A keyboard, a guitar,
An old stereo,
Nobody bothers you here,
It is your home,
But there is someone there,
And they're laying on your bed,
Listening to your music,
Using your pen,
A black~haired young woman,
A face a pale white,
She's thin, short,
And she's comfortable there,
Her feet up a teddy by her side,
She finds companionship in the unkind,
And friendship in the unwise,
But she finds love in me,
Because we're one in the same,
A voice spoken softly,
A scent of perfume,
I'm sitting here lonley,
But with a love deep inside,
And it dosn't need to be for you,
Because I've only got myself right now,
And I need to love her first,
She needs it the most,
And I'll know she'll return it,
Because in the end you've only got yourself,
Only yourself...
Forever yourself...
