He loves me, such a fantastic thought
That what the son of God hath wrought,
giving up His place in Heaven above,
Coming down to earth, such unbelievable love,
To shed that precious blood - for me,
Giving His life to set me free,
Bearing the price of my Sin and Woe,
And all simply because He loves me so.
Though God the Father only had one Son,
He gave Him that I might be won,
And placed that blameless perfect life
Amid a world of turmoil and strife,
And tore away forever the veil of Sin
That made so impossible any peace within,
And God's Son went to the cross alone,
That He might claim me for his own.
Yes, He loves me, and did all that for me,
So that I could have life abundantly,
By accepting the Savior who paid the price,
And his blood the final sacrifice
That changed my life and made me whole,
And He became the captain of my soul.
And though Master of all creation is He
Yet my Jesus loves even me.
Now Jesus has given me so much love
And showered me with blessings from above,
Gives me his presence every day
And guidance all along the way,
So that I can share with you this word,
I must be sure that you have heard
That He will do the same for you
Because this same Jesus loves you too!
