My True Desire
I have a desire in my heart
To be the best I can
And to help some hurting person
Find happiness again.
I want to make my life worthwhile
As long as I must stay
And try to bring a smile to you
It would really bless my day.
If I could only lighten your load
Oh just help you in any way
To lighten up your burden
That you must carry every day.
If I could only touch your heart
To show you that I care.
I would reach my arms to you
And draw you very near.
But all I can do is pray to God
And ask Him to guide you through
Whatever the need you have in life
I will ask Him to be with you.
