I see you standing there
Looking back at me.
A smile upon your face
As you sat beside our tree.

Christmas' of yesterday
Are swirling around in my head.
A time of happiness and good cheer,
But for me a time of dread.

For somewhere along the way
Our pathes did too soon depart.
And I miss you just as much today
As I did right from the start.

Christmas brings me memories of
Better days of the past.
And though from my life you are now gone
The memories will always last.

As I hang the ornaments on the tree
With tender loving care.
I think of all the special days
That our lives did share.

A tear to my eyes the memories bring
As the carols ring through the air.
Memories of a childhood past.
Days of love and your tender care.

There was so much more I wanted to share.
There was so much more to say.
I wish so much my children had known you.
I wish you were here today.

But you are home now with our Lord
And suffer no more pain.
So my fondest memories of you
To my children I proudly explain.

So many of my loved ones
To heaven have now passed.
Happier days of Christmas.
Memories that last.

Know I will always love you
And I think of you every day.
And though you are now in heaven
My Christmas you share in a very special way.

I may feel a little sadness
And even a little blue.
But you are here in my heart.
This I know is true.

So Merry Christmas my loved ones.
Who set by the throne of our Lord.
You will always share this day with me,
Until I leave this world.

Blue Christmas
(words & music by Billy Hayes - Jay Johnson)

I'll have a Blue Christmas without you
I'll be so blue thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmastree
Won't be the same dear, if you're not here with me
And the when those blue snowflakes start fallin'
That's when those blue memories start callin'
You'll be doin' all right, with your Christmas of white
But I'll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Christmas
