Sunny Days
The sun was bright and high today
the air was cold and crisp.
And every sense was sharpened,
as I drove about the kingdom.
As the sun burned brightly
my sprits were lifted by the sight of her,
after what to her was a weekend too quickly flown,
but to me seemed an eternity.
I do not yet have the skills
or the words of a poet
to explain the feelings in side
that springs forth in me when she is near.
Even though she lives for another
her mere presence lifts me up.
When I sit by her I can't help but
feel better.
And in time I hope that she begins to feel in her
the synergy that I have always felt
when ever we were together.
