Patricia McMillen is an attorney from northern Illinois. She holds a BA (Human Studies) from Brown University, a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and a MA (Creative Writing) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her poems have been published in numerous anthologies and journals and have won a number of awards. She received an Illinois Arts Council fellowship in poetry in 2002 and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize the same year. Patricia is founding banjo player of The Common Taters string band and a member of Oak Park Friends Meeting.
She is the author of Knife Lake Anthology.
