Almost every major town or city has a Pokémon Gym. Each Gym has a leader who is an expert Pokémon trainer. There are 8 world-famous Gyms. Here is some infomation on them:

  • Brock-As leader of Pewter City Gym, he's tough to beat. Brock spent years running the gym and taking care of his ten younger brothers and siters. He wants to become the best Pokémon Breeder. In the show, He joins Ash and Misty. He goes ga-ga for girls, especially Nurse Joy.

  • His Pokémon are Geodude, Onix, Zubat, and Vulpix.

  • Rock Pokémon

  • Boulder Badge

  • Misty-She is talented,loyal, adventurous,and caring. She comes from a family of gym leaders. The youngest of three sisters, Violet, Lily, and Daisy. The "Sensational Sisters" share the responsibility for the Cerulean City Gym. Misty also joins Ash on his quest when she gets tired of worn toys and hand-me-downs.

  • Misty's Pokémon: Staryu, Starmie,Goldeen, Horsea, and her baby Pokémon, Togepi.

  • Water Pokémon

  • Cascade Badge

  • LT. Surge-LT. Prepare for a workout when you enter this gym. He's one tough trainer. But he has one major flaw. LT. Surge cares more about winning than his Pokémon. He evolved his Pikachu into a Raichu as soon as he got it, so it never learned the Speed attacks that he can only learn as a Pikachu.

  • LT. Surges Pokémon: Voltorb, Pikachu, Riachu

  • Electric Pokémon

  • Thunder Badge

  • Erika-Erika loves nature. Her gym looks like a garden! Erika started out as a manager of a purfume shop.She decieded to become a Grass Pokémon trainer when a Gloom saved her from a messy Grimer attack. She knows that if you don't understand your Pokémon's feelings, you'll never be a great trainer.

  • Erika's Pokémon:Gloom, Vileplume, Victrebel, Tangela

  • Grass Pokémon

  • Rainbow Badge

  • Sabrina- Sabrina and her Pokémon are connected telepathically. They talk with their thoughts. For a while she took her Psychic so seriously, she forgot how to laugh. Then a very goofy Haunter taught her to smile.

  • Sabrina's Pokémon-Kadabra, Mr. Mime, Venomoth, and Alakazam.

  • Psychic Pokémon

  • Marsh Badge

  • Koga-Koga is a Ninja Master. He prefers to fight with cleverness rather than strength. His gym is located in a famous Ninja mansion. He holds his battles in a slanted room to confuse his enimies.

  • Koga's Pokémon: Two Koffing, Muk, Weezing, Venonat/Venomoth.

  • Poison Pokémon

  • Soul Badge

  • Blaine-Blaine likes secrets. He speaks in riddles. He built his hidden gym inside an active Volcano. If you are smart enough to solve his puzzles, he will battle you. But it will take all your skills to teach his scorching Pokémon to chill out.

  • Blaine's Pokémon:Growlithe, Arcanine, Ponyta, Rapidash

  • Fire Pokémon

  • Volcano Badge

  • Giovanni-Giovanni is not just a Gym Leader. He is also the boss of Team Rocket, people who steal valubles. Team Rocket has a hideout in Game Corner in Celadon City. Once, Team Rocket soldiers took over the Silph Co. in Saffron City to learn the secrets of it's Master Ball production. Did Giovanni use the Master Balls to catch Mewtwo? The super Pokémon Mewtwo has been seen training in Giovanni's gym.

  • Giovanni's Pokémon:Rhyhorn, Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Persion, and Rhydon.

  • Ground Pokémon

    Gold And Silver Gym Leaders:

  • Violet City Gym's Falker ~

  • Badge ~ Zephyr Badge

    Increases the Attack power of you Pokémon. Allows you to use Flash, even outside of battle.

  • Azalea Town Gym's Bugsy ~

  • Badge ~ Hive Badge

    Causes all Pokémon of level 30 and below obey you.

    Allows you to use Cut, even outside of battle.

  • Goldenrod City Gym's Whitney ~

  • Badge ~ Plain Badge

    Increases your Pokémon's Speed. Allows you to use Strength, even outside of battle.

  • Ecruteak City Gym's Morty ~

  • Badge ~ Fog Badge

    Causes all Pokémon of level 50 obey you. Allows you to use Surf, even outside of battle.

  • Cianwood City Gym's Chuck ~

  • Badge ~ Storm Badge

    Causes all Pokémon of level 70 to obey you. Allows you to use Fly, even outside of battle.

  • Olivine City Gym's Jasmine ~

  • Badge ~ Mineral Badge

    Increases you Pokémon's Defensive power.

  • Mahogany Town Gym's Pryce ~

  • Badge ~ Glacier Badge

    Strengthens you Pokémon's Special Attack power and Special Defense. Allows you to use Whirlpool, even outsite of battle.

  • Blackthorn City Gym's Clair

  • Badge ~ Rising Badge

    Causes Pokémon of any level to obey you. Allows you to use Waterfall, even outside of battle.

    BADGE LEVELS:

  • Cascade Badge:

    Pokémon up to level 30 will obey you.

  • Rainbow Badge:

    Pokémon up to level 50 will obey you.

  • Marsh Badge:

    Pokémon up to level 70 will obey you.

  • Earth Badge:

    All Pokémon will obey you.
