THE Japenese RED/BLUE has them! Game freak was to lazy to remake the game so they just put in a blocking chip!
This also explains why when you use a game shark to get Mew he looks like a glitch! The gameshark unlocks Mew! But sometimes Pokémon look really messed up when you use gameshark to get them because they have to go through the blocking chip and it trys to stop them! Thats why they look glitched!
I strongly suggest you do not use the PokéGods trick, it rarely works and can destroy a game. Also the Pokémon do not have names the all say things like A'MA'' in the place of thier names! But the pictures work! Like the Mew and Nidogod pictures work for example!
