***1 AM After The Concert***
"Alright folks, We will be under way in about 5 minutes. You all know where the exits are right? Since you've all done this before."
"Ok, Nick everyone knows you hate flying…so just try to sleep. K Hun?" Nikki said trying to make sure Nick was as comfortable flying while he was with her as possible.
"Thanks Nikki." He said smiling at her. She was so sweet, always trying to help him and make sure he felt at ease.
***With Nina and Brian***
"You excited about going to California?" Brian asked looking at Nina who looked like she was about to fall asleep. He smiled. "You sleepy Ninnie?"
"Yeah, I am really excited but I am tired too. It's already 1:02 AM." She said looking over at Brian. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black Nike warm ups. She smiled back at him.
"You can go to sleep if you want Nina. I'm probably going to go to sleep too. Tomorrow we're going to the awards. You girls will be dancing to Larger Than Life and then we all sit down for the rest of the show unless we win any awards. So it you can relax a little."
***Kevin and Natalie***
"Natalie, all the other guys have already asked their girlfriends to go with them to the awards show and I was hoping you'd come as my guest. You'll be there anyways to dance." Kevin said as he looked into Natalie's eyes.
"Sure, I'd love to go with you Kev." She said smiling at him.
***Later In a California Hotel***
"You Girls Ready to go?" Brian said as he lightly knocked on the door.
"Yeah, come on in Brian!" Nina shouted from the bathroom. Slowly Brian opened the door and walked in with Nick following behind him. They were both wearing black tuxes with black bow ties and cumberbuns.
"Nina? Where are you?" Brian said as he looked around the room.
"And where is Nikki?" Nick said as he walked forward so he was right next to Brian.
"I am Back here! And Nina is in The bathroom." A voice shouted from the back of the room. Nick smiled and walked to the back of the room.
"Hey Nikki, Wow you look great." He said looking at her. She was wearing a long slinky midnight blue dress. The top was covered with sequins and it had spaghetti straps with a crisscross design on the back. Her hair was held back with a black hair clip with two curls hanging down on each side of her face.
"Thanks!" she said smiling at him. "Look at you, you look really really good."
***Meanwhile, In the Bathroom***
"Brian I'll be out in just a second." Nina said as she put in a pair of small diamond earrings to match her necklace that also had a small diamond on it. She then walked out the door and was met by Brian. He smiled when he saw her.
"Hey Nina!" he said as he wrapped his arms around her. He missed her because she had been gone all day. She had been at a local salon getting her hair and nails done. It was definitely worth it. She was wearing a black dress that came to about the middle of her thigh. It had spaghetti straps and she was wearing black strapy, opened toe high heels. Her hair was back in corn rolls about half way back her head and then it was held up in a bun.
"Hey Bri, How was sound check?" she said as she snuggled up into his warm arms.
"It was ok. But Nikki, Natalie, Jessica, Andrea, Kelly and Jesse were there. Which made me miss you a lot! I missed you anyway but everyone else had someone there with them so I ended up sitting and talking to Aaron and Leslie who Nick has invited to the show tonight."
"Leslie? That's one of Nick's Sisters right? If I am wrong then Oops, guess I don't know as much as I thought I did."
He smiled and said, "You are right. Leslie is one of his sisters."
***At The Awards***
"And The Best Group Video Award Goes to…" Mandy Moore said pausing dramatically. "The Backstreet Boys for Larger Than Life!" finished as the fans screamed loudly. Slowly the guys made their way up to the stage after all getting hugs and kisses and congratulations from the girls.
"Ok Well, wow! Somehow this never fails to total surprise me and it's a great surprise at that. First off I'd like to thank our lord and savior Jesus Christ. And of course my mom, dad, Harold, And Ninnie." Brian said starting the acceptance speech.
"We'd also like to thank our new management team…The Firm, Yall have done a lot for us. And oh course we owe a lot to our families and I owe a lot to my fiancée, Andi. So thank you and I Love you baby!!" A.J. said adding to what Brian had said.
"Ok To wrap this up, We'd like to thank our fans! And 'N Sync, Britney Spears, And 98 degrees…We are all making a new generation of music together! And anyone we missed we're sorry! But ya know we love ya anyways!! Oh wait one more name that I've gotta say…My girlfriend, she been great." Nick said smiling a bright smile.
***Later***
"Ok! Now We've heard them talk to accept awards but now its time we heard them sing!! So Put your hands together for Always cute and always hot and we all know we'll always love The BACKSTREET BOYS!!!" Brandy shouted into the Mic.
"I may Run and hide When you're screaming my name alright"
"But let me tell you now there are prices to fame, alright. All Of our time spent in flashes of light"
"All You people can't you see can't you see? How your loves affecting our reality, Everytime we're down you can make it right and that makes you larger Than life!"
***Later During The Show***
"Dang you guys have won everything you were up for so far!" Nikki said not really surprised by it at all.
"There is only one more we are up for and that's Artist Of The Year." Kevin said then added, "That's the one I am hoping we get."
"Well I bet you guys will win it. You deserve it!" Nina said being as supportive as possible.
"Ok! This is what you've been waiting for all night long! The award for Artist of The year! And The Nominees are…" Brandy said and looked up to the large monitor as the video clips started. "I did all For the Nookie! So you can take that cookie and stick it up your! Stick Up Your! Limp Bizket…its Tearing up My Heart when I'm with you but When we are Apart…'N Sync…Baby baby how was I supposed to know? That something wasn't right yeah…Britney Spears…All You People can't you see can't you see? How you're loves affecting our reality…Backstreet Boys…Heartbreaker you got the best of me but I just keep on coming back…Mariah Carey." "Wow tough competition huh? Well let's see who the winner is." Freddie Prinze Jr. said as he opened the envelope. "And The winner is…Wow They are really living Larger Than Life…The Backstreet Boys!" The boys once again slowly made their way up to the stage.
"Hey! Thanks yall! This is awesome…Artist of the year! Well we'd like to thank our lord and savior once again because without him nothing is possible! So Thank you! And Nina I love you hun." Brian said once again starting the acceptance speech.
"And our families and Friends and Of course everyone else that is in the music business." Kevin said almost wrapping up the speech.
"Well let's not forget our wonderful fans!" A.J. and Nick said into the Mic at the same time. "This makes you all Larger Than Life In our eyes!!"
***Later Backstage***
"You guys did so good!! 5 different awards! Jeez! You guys really are Larger Than Life!" MTV's interviewer said as she met them just before they reached the exit.
"No Not really, It's our fans that are larger than life. They are the ones that put us here. We owe everything to our fans. They are great." A.J. said showing that they meant what they said in the song. They were not getting big heads and they wanted everyone to know that they were thanking their fans not describing themselves.
"Well, Thank you for talking to us but I'm not going to waste your time. Yall gotta come by MTV sometime soon." She said seeing Freddie Prinze Jr. behind her.
