A Dancer's Moves: Chapter Six JC and I were having a great time, just chillin on the couch watching TV. We were in the middle of some movie when Justin finally emerged from the bathroom.

“Well look at that!” He slurred stumbling over to us.

JC and I looked at each other quizzically. “What?” JC asked slowly.

“You two together like that!” Justin laughed loudly. “Trinity, baby, are you just gonna sleep with the WHOLE group?” He got like 2 inches away from my face.

He had really hit a nerve. Having sex was something I didn’t take lightly, and I know people used to talk about me behind my back, because I was waiting. Tears actually filled my eyes. ‘This is not the Justin I’m used to...where did he go?’ I didn’t say a word, just got up, while Justin laughed his ass off.

“Trinity, wait!” JC called, getting up off the couch, and running after me before I could reach my car. “Trinity!” He caught me by the arm. “Whoa...” He said when he saw me crying, “Justin really did go too far, didn’t he?” He self-consciously brushed a strand of hair away from my face.

“Don’t worry about it, please. I’m not worth worrying over.” I started trying to blink away my tears.

“C’mon girl!” He exclaimed with a gentle smile. “Don’t do that to yourself, you’re definitely worth worrying over. Now listen to me,” he said still touching my arm “you’ve seen some of us on the real now. You know what it’s like now... Justin’s drunk sweetie, he has no idea what he’s saying, he would never intentionally hurt you, or anyone for that matter.”

“Please,” I said as the tears stopped, “don’t make excuses for him. I know you’re worried about the choreography thing and all, but don’t worry. Nothing he can do would make me wanna quit this. I know that’s all your worried about, so you can stop worrying.” I told him. I didn’t mean for it to come out harsh sounding, but it did.

“You think that this damn job is all I care about?” He chuckled. “Trinity, I do have a heart ya know, I care about other people.” I smiled and so did he.

“I know, I’m sorry...it just came out wrong. For me to feel like I did last night, is not something I feel everyday...but I didn’t allow myself to get involved, because of work, and because I’m scared.” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

“What are you scared of?” JC asked softly.

“I’m scared that if I say I’m falling for him, he’ll think of me as another trophy, and move on to the next girl. And I don’t want him to do that, I really don’t.” I explained.

“He’s not like that...” JC said trailing off. “But I’m not the one who should be saying this, you and Justin should be talking.” He took his hand off my arm.

“Hey, if you feel like you should leave, go ahead.” He told me smiling. “But, considering it’s close to 3 AM, you’re always welcome to spend the night here.”

I considered the offer. I really didn’t want to go home to an empty house after the night I just had. Plus, we had practice tomorrow at 11, so I could just get up and leave from there with all the guys... “Are you sure?”

He smiled and I smiled back, and we made our way back to the house. Inside we found Lance’s keys sitting on the table. ‘Good, I’m glad he made it home.’ I thought to myself. The house was silent, so I assumed all had went to bed.

“So should I just sleep on the couch?” I asked, practically whispering as we went upstairs.

He chuckled. “No way. I’d offer you a guest bedroom, but they’re all being remodeled. We have I think 4 pullout couches downstairs, but it’s scary down there during the night.” He explained.

I raised an eyebrow. “Why is it scary?”

He checked his watch. “Cause this is the time where the fans that know we’re here try and break in. I mean, there’s no way that will happen, but it’s hard to sleep with all the damn noise they make at 3 AM.” He laughed, and I laughed with him.

“Maybe I’ll just go home then.” I said. “No, don’t worry about it. You’re a tiny little thang, I’m sure we’ll find a spot!” He joked, and I laughed. We had reached his room, and we stepped inside. “Welcome to Room a La JC.” He said in a French accent.

I laughed again. “Wow, you’ve got a great room, it’s like, as big as my apartment.” I joked and then it was his turn to laugh. He had a king-sized bed, a closet that was every girls dream, 3 cool looking lamps, a TV and DVD player, a bookshelf, a CD player I couldn’t even begin to describe, and a sliding glass door that led out onto a balcony.

JC walked into over to his dresser, and pulled out a T-shirt and boxers. “Will this work for ya?” I nodded. “Thanks. Now if you could just point me in the direction of the bathroom, I’d be good to go.” He smiled and showed me where it was at.

When I emerged from the bathroom, I went back to JC’s room to see where exactly he wanted me to sleep. He was wearing a beater and guy pajama pants, he looked so adorable! “So, where do you want me to stay?” I questioned.

“You can sleep here, it is a king-sized bed, but if that’s too awkward for you, I understand.” He offered.

I smiled, and asked “Is it too awkward for you?”

“Nope, not at all.” He answered.

So we both climbed in opposite sides of the bed. I was SO tired. Getting up early and going to bed late is something I was used to, but not with the events that had taken place tonight. All I had to do was close my eyes, and I was out.

The next thing I knew, I heard someone jump onto the bed. “Wake up!!” Someone exclaimed. I opened my eyes to see what was happening. Chris was jumping right in between JC and I. ‘I would have preferred an alarm clock.’ I thought laughing to myself. “What is this, what is this?” Chris asked looking at me.

I smiled. “Don’t worry about it. What time is it?”

“Time for you two to get your lazy asses UP and ABOUT because we all have to get dancing in about an hour and a half, which means we have to leave here in about an hour!” Chris was all too perky in the morning, but it was cute anyway.

I got out of bed and Chris immediately made a comment. “Aw, don’t you look cute! You look better in JC’s clothes then he does!” He joked.

I laughed, picked up the clothes I wore last night, and headed to the bathroom. Once I changed, I went back out to find everyone eating breakfast in the living room. I smiled at the sight and said “Alright, I’ll see ya’ll at practice.” They all chorused good-byes, and I walked out the door to my car.

“Ya’ll are insane!” I laughed as I looked at them in the mirror an hour later.

Practice officially starts in 10 minutes, so they were goofing off until that time. Joey and Lance were doing some stupid dance and cracking everyone up.

“Alright guys,” I said looking at my watch, “we gotta start.” I headed over to the CD player and put in the CD. I was getting so sick of hearing the same songs repeatedly, but it had to be done. Dancing was the one thing that took everything away for me. I wasn’t worried about Justin, I wasn’t worried about home, I wasn’t worried about money... I didn’t have to when I was dancing.

“Damn, that girl has got some moves.” Joey commented to Lance as they watched me the first time.

“She really does.” Lance said back to Joey.

After an hour of practice, straight through, I called a 10-minute break for everyone. I noticed Justin making his way over to me. ‘C’mon man, you like her...you gotta apologize for being such an ass.’ “Hey.” He said tentatively.

“Hi.” I said smiling at him. ‘You can’t hold a grudge against him at work, you’ve gotta be a professional.’ I thought to myself. “You’re doing really great today, you got the spin part down.” I complimented, but he interrupted me.

“Trinity, I don’t wanna talk about that.” He said softly. I was starting to feel uneasy. ‘What was that supposed to mean?’

“What do you wanna talk about?” I asked him in a soft voice.

“I can’t say it here, we don’t have enough time. Look, I know the last thing you want to do is go out with me tonight, but let me make up last night to you.” He offered.

I stared into his baby blue eyes...he seemed so sincere. I wanted to go out with him, even with the events of the past night on my mind. “Alright.” I told him. “Actually,” I found myself saying, “can we talk now for a second?”

He nodded, and we left the room. “Ya wanna talk out here?” He asked looking at all the people that were buzzing around us. I looked around for a different place, but Justin smiled. “Here, let me show you somewhere else.” He took my hand and led me to a conference room with a great view of the river. “Better?” He questioned.

I nodded. “Yeah, thanks.” We sat there in silence both staring at each other.

“Look,” I started, “going out and chillin with you is a blast. I don’t even care that you got drunk, I really don’t. It’s what you said...” I could see confusion registering on his face.

“Trinity, I’m so sorry. I know that I could sit here forever and apologize to you and it wouldn’t make a difference, but I really am sorry. I think I need to explain some things to you... I don’t go out and get drunk, in fact, I rarely do. I guess I had a lot to think about and it seemed like a good solution. Second, I probably couldn’t tell you what I said to you last night, but I’m assuming it was wrong also. I just want you to know that I would never intentionally hurt you, and I know that I did.” He stopped and looked into my eyes. “So I really am sorry.”

I sighed. All those positive, great feelings I had about Justin were returning. ‘Maybe it was better when I was upset...’ “It’s alright.” I told him smiling. “Don’t worry about it, but you STILL have to take me out tonight.” I said laughing.

He laughed with me. “It’s a deal!” We both stood up and he hugged me. “So we’re okay right?” He whispered in my ear.

Luckily, he couldn’t see the tears that were forming in my eyes. “Yeah,” I whispered back “we’re okay.”

‘Why him? Why do I have to fall for him?’ I thought, as I stood there, hugging him.
