My Angel: Chapter Eleven “Hi…” Chris said, smiling shyly at Grace. “Can I come in?” He asked after moments of shocked silence from Grace.

“Oh goodness, I'm so sorry, yeah, come in,” She said, blushing out of embarrassment of the way she acted. “So, tell me, what exactly do I owe the pleasure of this visit?” Grace asked once she had her head back.

“Oh, well, you have to understand, my love life is, how might you say, drab!” Chris told her, acting very feminine.

“Oh, I know the feeling, I'm so sorry, what exactly can I do to help your situation?” She wondered.

“Well, you see there’s this girl, and I know there’s something she doesn’t want me to know, so I say hey! Whatever, all in good time, all in good time, and of course I couldn’t stand the thought of not having her anymore so dumb little old me goes and makes the move…”

“Oh, balls, tell me, what did she do?”

“Shot me down!” Chris stated dramatically as Grace acted shocked. “I know it right, I mean me?”

“Yeah, so, where does the drama come in?”

“Well, you see, I wasn’t good with it and she had to go and kiss me and it just messed me up, and now I need to clear the air, I have to admit, I have kind of been hoping that she would tell me it would all work and then I can take her in my arms and just plant a big one right on her gorgeous lips…” He said dreamily.

“Well, she would most certainly be one lucky girl, and I'm sure she would love it if you would do that…”

“But…”

“But, are you sure you, and she, are ready for that? I mean leading the ever so luxurious lifestyle that you do, as you well know, isn’t easy on relationships.”

“It’s true, but this girl, she’s got her hooks on me I think, I mean there’s just that something special about her you know? She gives me butterflies, and no one gives me butterflies.”

“How would you feel taking that girl in your arms right now?”

“I’d love to…” Chris smiled, wrapping both his arms around Grace’s waist and placing his lips sweetly on hers. “So,” He said once they pulled apart. “Does this mean you give in?”

She laughed slightly, “Of course,” With that he placed his lips on her one more time, signaling the start of brand new adventure.

“Oh, love is in the air!” Justin whispered to JC as the listened outside Grace’s door.

“Pay up, pal, I believe you owe me fifty dollars…” JC said holding out his hand as Justin slapped the money into his palm.

“Greedy bastard,” He mumbled, walking away from the door.

“Hey Jus, want to take me shopping?” Cait asked, walking up to him.

“No, why don’t you get the lug over there to take you,” He asked, motioning towards JC.

“Well, since you have the lugs money I figure you should do it,” She replied.

“Oh, if it means having to deal with you for more than five minutes I will gladly return the mere 50 dollars the bastard gave me,” Justin said snottily, walking over to JC and slapping the money back into his palm. “There you go, now your boyfriend can take you shopping.”

“Oh, Jay, really, you are just much too giving, whatever are we going to do with you?”

“Oh, bite me, you go ahead go shopping now,” He replied angrily, walking away.

“Shall we go shopping now?” JC asked Cait as she faced him with a smile playing across her face.

“No, I'm tired, I just wanted to get your money back, save it, I’ll let you spend it on me later,” She teased as he laughed and followed her into their room.

“Hey C, What’s that scar on your leg from?” he asked, noticing it below the pair of red mesh shorts she wore.

“Oh, multiple knee surgeries, I have a matching one on the other leg, nice ha? I'm have to back to the doctor to have them checked next week, you’re welcome to join me,” She commented.

“I don’t know about anyone else, but I'm extremely jealous, I always wanted scars like you.”

“Please JC, it takes years and years of being an idiot to get scars like mine, now while you had years of being an idiot…” She laughed as he grabbed her and began tickling her stomach wildly.

Chris and Grace sat comfortably in each others arms days alter on the bus, heading for the last stop that she would be with them. Though her experience had been long and grueling she never wanted it to end. Though it had been only a few days since she had Chris had shared in that blissful kiss it seemed like her life was starting to line up. She was almost through training for the career she had always dreamed of holding, she was now safe in the arms of a man who she knew she could trust. Having these thoughts go through her mind caused Grace to let out a contented sigh. Life was good.

“Oh, they are SO cute!” Cait awed at the sight before her. “I wish someone had chased me like that, maybe I could have a loving guy like that then.”

“Excuse me,” JC said, walking up behind her. “I believe there was someone who came running after you, literally, and I believe your man is RATHER loving and attentive.”

“Yeah, but you would, I mean, you wouldn’t want to look bad ya know?” She teased him.

“Alright fine, I’ll tell you what, you can go back to Boston and I won’t chase you this time ok?” He smiled smartly at her.

“Oh, sounds like heaven, can we give it a try?”

“Let’s, only I'm not so sure I could live without your smart answers and your painful sarcasm, I mean honestly, what would I do with myself if you weren’t around?”

“Masturbate,” Cait said as JC looked at her shocked, her looking over at him laughing hysterically. “Really babe, I'm only kidding, I'm sure you could find a whore somewhere, your face is familiar enough.”

“Man, you’re just full of good comeback today aren’t you?” JC asked, looking over at her, smiling evilly.

“Well, I got it good like that…”

“Would you guys SHUT UP!” Chris yelled from across the room.

“Oh, snappy isn’t he?” Cait asked mockingly looking back at JC.

“He is, I think we should go somewhere we are wanted, let’s go!” He replied, extending his arm for the girl to take.

“Good luck finding someone that desperate,” Chris answered smartly behind them as Cait stuck her tongue out at him as she and JC walked towards the front of the bus.

“I don’t want to go back to work,” Grace whine, burying her head into Chris’s chest.

“Oh, tears, I do believe that while you were out here relaxing and having a wonderful time a certain man of yours worked his butt off,” Chris said poignantly.

“Oh, I did realize you called this working, and I do believe that, that same person was busy harassing me half the time, ha?”

“Who? Me? No way!”

“Right no way! You’re so full of shit, now come on, you can help me get my stuff together.”

“Oh, my dreams are coming true,” Chris said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

“Wise ass,” Grace said, smiling as Chris wrapped an arm around her shoulders and they headed off toward her hotel room.

“I do my best, what time is your flight tonight?”

“Umm…good question, around 8 sometime I believe…”

“You might want to double check that one, and let me know so I can see if I will have time to bring you to the airport, okey dokey smokey?”

“Alright, I will let you know, actually the ticket is in my bag so you can look for yourself when we get back to my room, ok?”

“Ok, I guess I can do that.” Chris smiled as Grace slipped the key into the door, turning it letting herself and her newly found love enter.

Life still seem like a utopia to Grace. Reality hadn’t quite sunk in yet, that as of tonight she wasn’t going to be around Chris for a while now. She had become accustomed to him giving her smiles and winks, as simple as the gestures were, it meant so much to know she has someone who cared about her as a person, not as an item, and someone who would always care for her, never intentionally hurt her. It seemed like it was a dream world she was living in, nothing like this could ever happen to Grace Thomas. Was it a dream? Was the sun going to poke through at any minute and disrupt this fairytale life? She prayed it wouldn’t, but soon enough Grace would be back in Washington working in the local Old Navy and getting hospital rounds as soon as she could. She wished she could stay with Chris forever, laying in his arms, letting that blissful smile hold her lips forever, but she knew it was impossible.

Grace sighed loudly staring at the mounds of clothing she had spread out across the room she had occupied for only the last two days but to anyone else might look like she lived there. “Ready to do this?” She asked Chris a playful smile washing over her weary face.

“I guess so, we gots to do what we gots to do,” He told her placing a small kiss on her lips as he zoomed past her, picking up pieces of clothing on his way, folding them and piling them neatly on the bed.

Grace could do nothing but smile at the boy, he was amazing.
