Chapter Fourteen "DAMNIT CHRIS! Can't you at least try to pick up after yourself?" Andrea yelled at him.

"What are you talking about?" He returned.

"The mess in the bathroom is what I'm talking about, geeze, pick up after yourself, I'm not YOUR mother!"

"I was getting ready to take a shower, calm down, I'll clean it up when I'm done." With that he walked away, not wanting to hear anymore from her.

Things hadn’t been the same since the first time they had brought home Sean. Andi seemed more stressed then ever before and Chris felt like the target. He was getting sick of everyone telling him that he was wrong and he should give her more space.

It wasn’t possible. Chris was giving as much space as he could. He was going out and doing more things for her now than ever before. What did she expect from him? He was lost and still trying to find the road that led out.

She sat down onto the couch letting the silence in the room permeate through her ears. She didn’t know what was happening to her.

When they had Sean she was amazingly happy all the time, but now she was tired and grumpy and she hated herself for constantly taking that aggression out toward Chris but she didn’t know what else to do. She certainly couldn’t yell at the baby, so who else is there?

She needed a break and she needed it soon. She never realized how hard being a mother was.

She picked up the phone and dialed Whitney’s number hoping she could talk some sense into her.

“Jace, get that!” Whitney yelled form that back room as she heard her phone ringing.

“Hello?” he answered.

“Hey, JC, can I talk to Whitney?” Andi replied hurriedly.

“Yeah, hang on a sec,” he told her, covering the phone yelling out to Whitney. “She sounds upset,” He whispered. “I’ll see you later” He gave her a quick kiss and walked out the door.

“Hey,” Whitney said. “What’s up?”

“I need to talk to someone that’s all.” Andi informed her.

“How would you like to go out then?”

“Are you kidding I would love it, let me go se if it’s cool with Chris first though, hang on.”

“Ok, hurry.”

“Chris are you going to be home today?” She yelled into the bathroom.

“Yeah, why?” He yelled back.

“Me and Whitney are going to go out, I’ll be back later, Sean’s sleeping, ok?”

“Alright, bye, I love you!”

“I love you too,” She told him, once again putting the phone up to her ear. “Alright, he’ll be here.”

“Good, we’re going shopping!” Whit told her with excitement. “Meet me at my house in like a half hour ok?”

“Alright, see you then.” Andi smiled hanging up the phone. It was good to get out of that house.

“How come you needed someone to talk to so bad?” Whit asked as she and Andi looked through clothes.

“I’m going crazy, Whit, I don’t know what to do.” She confessed.

“What’s the matter?”

“I don’t think I was made to be a mother.”

“Why are you talking so crazy? We all know that you are the best mother yet, come on.”

“This is so hard though, I love this kid and I would give my life for him but I never sleep anymore, I don’t have any time to myself, and I think I am completely ruining my relationship with Chris.”

“Well, that’s not possible so you can just scratch that off the list, got it?”

“No, all I do is yell at him and it’s getting ridiculous but I just don’t know what to do, I’m constantly so frustrated and he’s standing there like a sitting duck, you know?”

“I guess, but just think about it, And, he’s the one you love and nothing can break that, especially not something as petty as this, trust me.”

“Alright, I guess, let’s just have some fun so I can try NOT to think about it all for a while ok?”

“You know that’s my specialty.” They laughed.

Maybe this was all she needed to get her head back on straight and get things figured out. Maybe Andi would feel better after just letting all the thoughts of everything at home go to the back of her mind and just let having fun with her friend be there.

“So, this ring is for real, ha?” Cait asked in somewhat disbelief as she sat with Justin on the couch staring at the item on her finger.

“It most certainly is, and I’ll be waiting for that to come off and be replaced with one that will last forever.” He told her.

“You’re such a sap.”

“I know, isn’t it great?”

“I don’t know, sometimes that stuff doesn't come out of your hair...” She joked.

“Whatever,” He said, huffing.

“Come on, I wanna go outside.”

“And what exactly are we going to do outside?” He asked her, not wanting to move from his spot on the couch.

“We are going to play a nice friendly game of one-on-one. And we’re going to place a bet on the table.”

“And what exactly does this bet entail?”

“Well, let’s see, I win I get you for an entire evening.” She started as he gave her a strange look. “And if you win you can have whatever you want.”

“Whatever I want? He question stressing the whatever of the sentence.

“That is what I said, so yes, whatever.”

“Alright you’re on.”

“Ok, let me go put on some shorts then.”

“how are you and JC?” Andi asked Whitney as they rode home after a long afternoon in the mall.

“We are better than before,” She answered, smiling dreamily.

“Really?” She asked again.

“Yeah, I think so, I think last time we rushed it too much, we thought we had to be in that serious relationship before he left again, which was stupid. This time we’re taking it slow...letting things flow naturally. It’s a heck of a lot easier than last time.”

“That’s good, I couldn’t stand seeing you guys being like that. It was hard for everybody, but you should have seen Cait, I thought she was going to lose it.”

Whit let out a little laugh, “Why?”

“I don’t know, she’s always hated to see anyone not like each other, so she was like, ‘they’re going to get back together and they’re going to get back together soon!’ It was hilarious.”

“Wow, Ok.” That was all Whitney could think to say.

“So, you going to come back and see Sean?”

“Of course, did you really think I would pass up the opportunity?”

“No, not at all, he should ever be awake just about now, come on.”

“I thought we were playing basketball?” Justin said in disbelief as he saw the soccer ball at Cait’s feet.

“I never said that, I said a game of one-on-one. Not a game of basketball.” She told him.

“You’re pure evil, already know I can’t play soccer.”

“Yeah, I do which makes me look all the better.” She laughed. This was going to be easy as pie.

“Justin, you could at least make an effort,” Cait complained once the score was five to nothing. “You must have picked up something during the time you’ve known me.”

“Yeah so, you tricked me, and that wasn’t nice.”

“Aww...you poor baby, what can I ever do to make it up to you?”

“Let me win the bet!” He told her smiling broadly.

She gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “Nice try.” She walked away. “I’ll make you a deal,” Cait started. “If you can score one goal in the next five minutes, I’ll give it to you, but if not, I win.” She finished as he smiled again.

“You’re on, and I hope you’re not too tired because you’re in for a long five minutes, babygirl.”

“Oh, bring it on, sweetheart.”

“Here we go,” Justin said as he began to dribble the ball towards Cait.

“Your five are up and you didn’t even get close to scoring, so looks like I still win, maybe someday I’ll teach you how to play so you can beat me, or not.” She teased him.

“I’m not letting you win this thing.”

“You have no choice, I won fair and square, you’re mine for an entire night now.”

“Nope, I told you you’re not getting it.”

“Justin Timberlake, you’re acting like a little kid, would you stop it please?”

“No, I’ll tell you what, rematch, right here two days from now, we’ll see what happens then, alright?”

She sighed, “Fine, but know that you will not beat me then either.”

“If you say so my dear, but we’ll just have to see,” he told her as he walked in to the house.

Whitney saw her answering machine flashing as she walked in the door. She figured it was JC so she pressed play and walked into the kitchen as she half listened to the message. “Whit, I need you to call me as soon as you get this, it’s important.” She heard Justin say. ’What in the world could be so important?’ She thought as she dialed his number.

“Whit?” She heard him ask once he had picked up.

“Yes Justin, it’s me, what is so important?” She questioned.

“I need you to teach me how to play soccer.” He informed her.

“What the heck are you talking about?” She laughed.

“Me and Cait have a rematch in two days and I need you to teach me all you can in that time, can you please?”

“I don’t know Jus, only two days? Couldn’t you have made it longer? I mean to beat Cait you’re going to need some mad skills kid.”

“Just teach me what you can in the two days please?”

“Alright, I’ll meet you at your house in half an hour alright?”

“I LOVE YOU! Thank you so much, see ya there, bye!”
