Chapter Fifteen “Justin, can I borrow your car tomorrow night?” JC asked him.

“Which one you talking about?” He asked him.

“Umm...the convertible,” JC told him timidly.

“Are you crazy, you know no one gets to drive that car but me.”

“Come on Justin, it’s only for the night and I promise I will be super careful. Please, I want to take Whit out for a special night.”

“Alright JC, but only this once and try not to let anyone know that I let you take it or then everyone will want the privilege, and we know that won’t happen.”

“Alright, thanks buddy, I owe you one.”

“You owe me a big one.”

“Alright, I have to go now, I’ll be over at like four tomorrow alright?”

“Can’t you take her out later than that?”

“Why?”

“Because she’s helping me with something and I need her around as long as possible, just give it an extra hour.”

“Alright, fine, but only because you are loaning me your car.”

“Sweet, thanks Jace, lada.” Justin hung up the phone with a successful smile on his face. At this rate he may just have a chance at Cait tomorrow.

“Whit, can you be here around five tomorrow, I have somewhere I want to take you.” JC asked her once she had returned from Justin’s that day.

“Alright, I’ll try not to be late but I promised Justin I would help him with something, hopefully he’ll let me go in time to shower for you.” She laughed him.

“Oh he will, trust me he will.” JC told her.

“Alright, well, speaking of showering, I think I’ll go take one, I feel nasty.”

”Ya smell nasty too.”

”I suppose with you it’s more of a natural kind of thing, ha?”

”Something like that, yeah, now go take a shower.”

”Alright, I’ll see you later sweetie.” Whit told him, giving him a small kiss before walking out the door to go to her own home.

“Now, don’t forget that this night is all about the two of you so don’t worry about me a little Sean here at home, he is in good hands and you know it.” Cait told Andi quietly as Chris got their coats as they prepared to leave.

“I know it, I’m just nervous about coming out with this, you know how much being wrong kills me.” She said as the girls both laughed.

“Yeah, I do but give it a shot, it could make all then difference in the world.”

“Yeah, if I don’t completely choke up and blow everything.”

“You’ll be fine, and don’t rush home, you stay out as late as you want, got it?”

“Alright, thanks for doing this, Cait, I owe you one, we’ll see you later.” Andrea told her as she and Chris left for the night.

“well buddy, looks like it’s just you and me tonight,” Cait said to Sean as picked him up out of the playpen.

“So where are you taking me on this lovely evening?” Chris asked as he sat in passenger seat of their car.

“Somewhere quiet where we cant talk and just enjoy the quiet.” She answered simply with a sigh.

“Quiet, what a strange, strange thing to have recently.”

She laughed, “I know it, but it will be quiet, well pretty much, but let’s go we’re getting out here, bud.”

Chris looked out onto the ocean, they were at his favorite beach. The spot where he came when he needed to think, when he had a problem, when he just needed a quiet moment to himself. “You picked a good spot.” He told her quietly form his spot next to the car.

“I thought you might like it,” She replied.

“I love it, what do you say we go sit down by the water?”

“Sounds perfect, let’s go.” Andi said, reaching her hand out to Chris as they walked down the small hill.

“Chris, I need to talk to you about something ok?”

“Of course, I’m ready for it.”

“Well, I just wanted to apologize for these past weeks.” She started, trying to avoid his stares. “I know I haven’t been treating you very well and I really don’t mean it I feel guilty about it but I have been really stressed.”

“Hey, I know you have, and at times I haven’t been considerate of what you’re going through and that I should have thought about you a whole lot more, and I’m sorry for that.” He told her.

“I think we both just need this time to talk and be alone, I’m so happy we have friends as good as Cait.”

“So am I or we would both end up hating each other.”

“I know it, and hey, when are we going to start this whole wedding thing?”

“How about now, I just didn’t want to bring up lately seeing as we have both been stressed out enough I didn’t want to add anymore to it, you know?”

“Yeah, I understand but as long as we got this time alone why don’t we go walk around and window shop?”

“Sounds perfect, come on.” Chris said, offering his hand as Andi smiled up at him lovingly as she held his hand.

“Glad to see you again so soon,” JC told whit as he saw he enter his kitchen.

“I know isn’t it, now, where are we going tonight?” She questioned him, smiling evilly.

“We are going out joyriding tonight my lady,” He told her as he grabbed the keys off the counter.

“I’m sorry, Jace, but riding around in the jeep isn’t joyriding, sweetie.”

“We aren’t going in the jeep, come on, I’ll show what we’re going joyriding in alright?”

“Ok, I’m dying to see what car you would pick over your stupid jeep.” Whit told him as she followed him out the back door of you house. “Did you steal it?” She asked as soon as she saw Justin’s car in the yard.

He laughed at her, “No, I didn’t steal it, he’s letting me borrow it for the night, you are such a pain.” JC told her, walking towards the parked car.

“Alright, just making sure this was all legal before I got in, but as long as it is, let’s have some fun shall we?”

“Well, I think we shall.” Whitney aid before jumping into the passenger’s seat of the car, this night should be interesting.

“Justin what the hell do you think you’re doing here?” Cait questioned him sternly as he barged in to Chris and Andi’s house once she had opened the door.

“I’m just coming to hang out for a while, I figured the little one would be in bed and you would be lonely and we wouldn’t want that now would we?” He said as he made a pouty face.

“Yes we could, I actually do have responsibilities here tonight, God Justin, we’re not 15 and sneaking behind the parents backs.”

“True, but I never got to experience these things, it sucks more than you will ever know.”

“Why? Because you never got to stain up some strangers couch?”

“Dude, that was gross! No need to get into graphic details with these things.”

“There was nothing graphic about that sentence so I don’t know what you are talking about.” Cait told Justin, smiling as she finally let down her guard.

“Whatever, what do you say you and I sit down an be by ourselves for the evening, probably our last time to spend together.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m leaving this weekend as you know, and knowing Johnny and everyone else we’ll be full of stuff all for the rest of the week, goodness, I don’t want to leave this time.”

Cait smiled, hearing those simple words made everything seem right. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” He said, placing sweet kisses on her lips as she smiled up at him.
