Sci-Fi Action Rated R. Set during the 1960s in an alternate New Zealand known as Nuovo Zelandia, PERFECT CREATURE imagines a world where vampires and humans peacefully co-exist, with the bloodsuckers the next step in human evolution. This delicate balance looks to be destroyed when an influenza epidemic begins to sweep the human population and one vampire turns to preying on humans. The church sends out Silus (Scott) to catch the renegade vampire, Edgar. Silus joins forces with a human police captain (Burrows), and discovers that Edgar harbors dark secrets. I read some good things about this film and was excited to watch it and let me tell you I was not disappointed. This is a highly original vampire film that deals with several issues including race and our own ability to hope. I loved the New Zealand 60's setting but yet it kinda of had a futuristic feel as well. The cast is fantastic, the action amazing, There was nothing I could think of here to say that I did not like. If your a fan of sci-fi or vampires flicks I say own this dvd today, it will make a great addition to any fan's collection and one you will surely recommend to your friends.
