Firehouse Dog

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Acton/Family/Comedy Rated PG. Rexxx, Hollywood's top canine star, gets lost and is adopted into a shabby firehouse. He teams up with a young kid (Hutcherson) to get the station back on its feet. Family movies are always a welcome genre and Firehouse Dog fits the bill just right. For starters this has an amazing cast from Josh Hutcherson fresh off his terrific acting job in "Bridge to Terabithia" to Bruce greenwood as a father who is trying to raise his son and keep his fire station open and having a hard time doing both. Sure this has the same elements as most movies in the genre, good guy,bad guy and animal hero, but under all that there's a story of father and son and their relationship which gives this movie more depth than most others. This a film the entire family can enjoy together cause it offers a little for everyone, from cute animal that does some cool stunts to a story much deeper and rewarding in father and son finding each other. This is one for the collection and one to enjoy for years to come. Own this DVD today. Released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. **** Out Of *****
