Black Supaman
Action/Comedy NR. Bernard Jr., a 30-year old who still lives at home with his father, is trying to avoid the negativity of the inner city. Bernard has dedicated his life to cleaning up his neighborhood and ridding it of crime, but has one small problem…he cannot stop smoking weed! Every time this vigilante indulges in his favorite pastime, he dons red tights, thinks he’s invincible and refers to himself as Black Supaman. In this comedic caper, Bernard takes on an entire community with hopes of reclaiming the streets for all of the hard-working, up-standing citizens. Looking at cover on this one I figured it could be either very funny or just plain bad. What I found out it was pretty bad over-all with a few laughs here and there. Filmed on what has to be a very low budget the film has no real direction to it and seems to be just a bunch of cameos from different actors saying what the want to fill in the time in the movie. This could have been a funny spoof of sorts but the movie never really goes anywhere and by the time it ends your left with an empty feeling and just glad it's over. Master P fan's may enjoy the film and it's soundtrack but I cannot recommend this to any fan of mainstream. The DVD comes with a bonus soundtrack cd that features songs from Romeo,Bengie & Gangsta and Master P himself. Released by First Look Home Entertainment. * 1/2 Out Of *****
