Crime/Drama Rated R. Gambling addiction bring the stories of three otherwise unconnected people together as it destroys each of their lives. Similar to the Oscar winning film "Crash" in that we have several strangers whose lives all become unraveled over a gambling addiction. First off to make such a film work you need a cast that can bring each of their character's to life as that is the driving point of the film and man does this cast deliver the goods. Kim Basinger,Danny DeVito and Forest Whitaker could of all won an Oscar for their roles and lets not forget to mention the fantastic supporting cast that includes Kelsey Grammer,Nick Cannon and Ray Liotta to name a few that really brought something extra to this film. If you are looking for a sugar-coated action film look elsewhere, this is a real-life, in-your-face tale of know an addiction can do to your life and the reasons it's best to avoid them. The script by first time writer Robert Tannen is both solid and tense and leads you to keep guessing till the credits roll. If "Crash can win an Oscar I can't see why "Even Money" can't win one either, it's a much stronger film both in character and in it's realism. I can't recommend this crime drama enough to anyone looking for a film made almost perfect. Released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. ***** Out Of *****
