Actress,Jane F,has a busy day ahead of her but what she doesn't know is the cupcakes her roommate made that she is about to eat are in fact "potcakes". Her day is now filled with a series of misadventures as she first excepts a ride from her roommates friend who happens to have a thing for her. As high as she is she still must manage to make it across town to pay the drug dealer, make her audition and try to replace the cupcakes she ate before her roommate finds it their missing.

This "stoner" film took be back to the days of the old "Cheech and Chong" movies, just one crazy scene after another. This is a busy movie, it's one misadventure after the other never letting up till the end credits, but that's maybe the one flaw the film has. There was times during the movie where it began to feel a little boring or over-done. Sure there's a lot to laugh at here but what keeps this from falling flat is the performance by Anna Faris, she seems to be one of comedies best kept secrets, I mean this young woman is hilarious and easy on the eyes as well. It's her physical antics that keep you wanting more, a performance rare today in any genre. The film got some bad reviews, I think people need to lighten up a bit because if you didn't know what they were getting by the poster or trailer then maybe they should of never watched the movie. Sure it deals with drugs but this isn't a comedy to let you kids watch in the first place. Smiley Face is an adult comedy that features a great cast that really seem to eat up their roles, also lets give credit to Director Gregg Araki for making a film on a touchy subject not only very funny but also his direction keeps the film moving at a good pace when it could of easily tanked after the first 20 minutes or so. I know this will not appeal to everyone so I suggest those that enjoyed all the "Cheech and Chong" movies from the past or just fan's of Faris should pick this DVD today, you will not be disappointed. Smiley Face is destined to become a cult classic The DVD contains the bonus features:

Making of Featurette, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround, English SDH Subtitles, Spanish Subtitles and Previews
