Racing is in Alex Johnstone's blood. It was her father s life and it ultimately caused his death so her uncle Bill, who runs the local speedway, is determined not to lose his niece the way he lost his brother. But Alex is determined to prove to Bill, to the world, and especially to herself that she has what it takes to be the best in a traditionally male-dominated sport. And when she meets up with handsome professional racecar driver Darryl Sands, the emotional stakes are raised even higher. Will Alex crash and burn or can she carry on her dad s legacy and make her dreams come true?

Fast Girl is a romantic drama that works well due to some good film-making decisions and excellent direction. The film features an actual formula one racing team which really not only helps to sell the story but also makes the film one that both men and women will enjoy as there's something for everyone here. The cast is also a big part of why this film is so good, Mircea Monroe does a good job of portraying the rebellious young woman who has "racing in her blood." Justin Guarini (American Idol) also proves he really has some acting talent as a love interest. What the film lacks in budget it more than makes up for in action, drama, romance and suspense. Fast Girl is a film with good values, a wholesome film that the entire family can enjoy together and we all know there's never enough family film's available so when a hidden gem like this pops up it's a must-own.
