DD is a smug fellow, almost 30 years of age, who can manage all by himself. At least that's what he thinks. However, a strange woman,Lova enters his life, hunted by evil men who want to hurt her. Against his will, DD is given a mysterious box that the evil mean want and will kill for if necessary. Now DD must confront his past while trying to avoid not only these forces of evil but also the police.

Storm is a movie which is hard to explain without giving away too much of what the film is really about so I will avoid spoiling the experience of seeing this amazing film and just talk a bit about it. Storm starts off in a sci-fi action mode ala "The Matrix" but it doesn't take long for it to turn into something much more, sure the science fiction element is still there and remains to the very end but there's also a mind-bending drama going on here. The dream-like sequences really help set a surreal feel to the film and you never really know which way it's going till the next twist appears. Swedish cinema has never looked or translated so well, let's give credit to Director's Mans Marland and Bjorn Stein for taking several genres and combining them to take us on a journey that captivates the mind. The acting is stellar, Eric Ericson is just perfect as his role as DD and Eva Rose is a perfect match for her role as Lova, a mysterious woman that DD is asked to believe in. The cinematography to the writing here on a modest budget matches anything that Hollywood could produce and much more. I film for those that like to be challenged and not spoon fed, an intelligent film that asks many questions and delivers on all of them. I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for something different or any and all lovers of cinema. Storm is a story of one man's journey through his pass so that he may let go and become the best man that he can be. Engaging, exciting and energetic, Storm is a highly entertaining sci-fi trip that is sure to please any fan. The DVD will be available in May. Released by TLA Releasing. ***** Out Of *****.
