The Third Wish

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Comedy/Romance Rated PG. Bookshop clerk Maggie (Mattison) is granted three wishes after she finds a first-edition copy of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. I was not sure what I was getting here after first watching the trailer as it did not show much promise to me but like they say "Don't judge a book by it's cover". What I got was a film filled with insecurity, love and dreams of something better. A comedy/romance with a fairy tale attached. As the film moved along I found myself getting more and more into it, there's something about this film, maybe it's charm that demands it's viewers attention. Actress Jenna Mattison who also wrote the film does a great job as the woman looking for love and a new life and maybe finding it in a place never expected. The rest of the cast including Sean Maguire and Armand Assante all give great support. This is the kinda of film that you just can't hate, after-all it's a film about finding that rainbow you were looking for and how can that be a bad thing. The Third Wish is a film the entire family can enjoy together and one that will do well on DVD once the strong word of mouth gets out on just how good this little gem is. Released by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment. **** Out Of *****
