Director Uwe Boll has been known to ruin film's based on video games or just fantasy films in general and if you have never seen any of his movies before you might want to check out "BloodRayne" and you will get the idea. One good thing is In the name of The King is not as bad as "Bloodrayne" but that isn't saying this is a good film either. When you have a cast that includes,Jason Statham and Ray Liotta you would think you were in for a treat but sadly it's Boll's direction that ruins the film. There isn't anything I can say was really good about this film, the effects were below average, the costumes a joke and the lines used by the actors pretty much made them look a lot worse than they really are. Fan's of the game need to never watch this film and fan's of fantasy as well will most likely be highly disappointed. I would like to not recommend this film at all but because I am a fan of it's cast and because a few fight scenes are done fairly well and taking into consideration that a lot of people have never even heard of the game I can maybe recommend this to those looking for something light to much as long as your not expecting much. This could of been a fun film if had been given to a different Director but instead it pretty much fails on all counts. The In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale DVD is presented in widescreen format (2.35:1 aspect ratio), with English 5.1 Dolby Surround audio and English / Spanish subtitles. Bonus content includes deleted / extended scenes, extensive behind-the-scenes featurette and trailers. Released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. * 1/2 Out Of *****
