The Blue Butterfly

Drama/Adventure Rated PG. Based on a true story, The Blue Butterfly tells the story of a terminally ill 10-year-old boy whose dream is to catch the most beautiful butterfly on Earth, the mythic and elusive Blue Morpho. His mother persuades a renowned entomologist to take them on a trip to the jungle to search for the butterfly, leading to an adventure that will transform their lives. Once in a very long time a film is made that has all the ingredients of a great film, a film movie lovers everywhere rejoice over and run to tell others about. The Blue Butterfly is one of those film's, a film thats about a prefect as a movie can get. Starting with the film's script and story, a true story of a young boy whose life is about to be cut short due to cancer and his one dream to catch the world's most beautiful butterfly, then there's the cast and it's a great one, William hurt and Pascale Bussieres both give subtle but strong performances and Marc Donato gives a fantastic performance as the sick young boy. Also you may never see more beautiful cinematography in a film ever, this jungle scenes are breath-taking. I cannot recommend this film enough and it's one the entire family can enjoy together, a true gem. Released by Monterey Video. ***** Out Of *****
