Cyclops is a Sci-Fi Channel movie that aired in 2008. Like most of their movies it has a low budget but to me that is half the fun, I mean no one can expect to see a film like this with a huge budget. The film was also co-produced by the king of B-films Roger Corman, someone whose movies I have always enjoyed over the years. The film is about a Cyclops that is on the loose creating havoc and the Emperor has his men go and capture it and bring it back alive. The Emperor has some reasons of his own to have the Cyclops in his capture. I thought the cgi was pretty good here, above average for a made for TV movie and a lot better than most of Sci-Fi Channel movies I have seen in the past. There is a pretty decent story here even if it is flawed and the main cast is very good including Eric Roberts who is always a joy to watch regardless of what he is in. It is too bad no one offers him bigger roles anymore. Cyclops could of benefited from a larger budget and been much better but over-all this was a fun popcorn film and is perfect if you just want to sit down to something simple. I thought it was entertaining and accomplished what it set out to do. Released by Anchor Bay Entertainment. *** Out Of *****
