Constellation

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Drama Rated PG-13. Constellation chronicles the lives and loves of an African-American family in the deep South as they are forced to come to terms with a tumultuous past marked by an unrequited interacial affair. The film explores the way in which the family patriarch must confront his demons amidst the changing racial fabric of society and his own family. Constellation is a story about love that deals also with family issues and facing their past after the death of a loved one when the all come together and tensions rise. There's something here for everyone to relate to which is a big part of making this kinda film a success. There's many character's that come in and out of the picture so you really have to pay attention but it's all done you so well that you never take your eye off the screen. You care about all the character's and really want to know more about them which is very rare in film's today. The film's cast is a collection of some of Hollywood's best including Billy Dee Williams, Gabrielle Union, Leslie Ann Warren, and Zoe Saldana. Each character is a small piece of the big puzzle that comes together brilliantly in the end. Filmed in 2005, it's sad this film never got the attention that Writer/Director Jordan Walker-Pearlman and his terrific ensemble cast deserve. I highly recommend owning this DVD today. Released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. ***** Out Of *****
