Funny Money

Comedy NR. Henry Perkins, a mild-mannered accountant, accidentally trades briefcases with another man, to find out that there's a million dollars inside. Henry tells his unsuspecting wife of their new-found fortune, but she doesn't embrace it as well as he does. Soon they're joined by their best friends, a cop on the take, a cop on the hunt, and the dreaded Mr. Big, who has come to claim his million dollars. It's been awhile but it's great to see Chevy Chase back in a movie again , his comedic talent has never been better as he is laugh out loud funny in the leading role as an accountant who just happens to get is briefcase switch by accident only to find there's millions of dollars in it. What ensues is an hour and a half of laughs. Director Leslie Greif did a great job at keeping the film moving at a great pace and making sure the laughs were plenty. Chevy is not the only acting talent here, there's a great cast that really delivers including Penelope Ann Miller as his wife who just wants to get her art career started and live a normal live. She really kicks in with her comedic talent after her character begins to have a few drinks, I found myself in non-stop laughter. The rest of the cast was great as well including Armand Assante as the police officer looking for a pay off and Christopher McDonald provides great support in his role as a family friend caught up in his friend's plan. Funny Money really surpassed my expectations that I had going into this but I found it very entertaining so pick this comedy up today you will not be disappointed. Released by Starz Home Entertainment/Anchor Bay Entertainment. **** Out Of *****
