Scotland Juniors lose to Hornets

Tue Jun 5 - Written by: Steven Birchall of www.rleague.com

An inexperience Scotland National U/19 team recently took on the Wath Brown squad.  Wath Brown is one of the Cumberland’s strongest nurseries for producing junior talent and was easily too strong for the Scots who still had a very strong union influence.

The Scots were too slow to start the match, conceding three tries and only scoring one, however in the second half they the men from up north scored three tries thanks to centre Neil Hadgart (Peebles).  Scotland’s main problem in the game was they didn’t know the correct tactics on the 6th tackle and were slow around the play the ball.  This is however a learning curve and will only benefit the game in Scotland.

Wath Brown Hornets 28 - 20 Scotland
