1. In this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to make some torn paper. Lets get started. First, make a new transparent image that is RGB Color and 72 pixels/inch.
2. Now, select the rectangular marquee tool and make a rectangle. Fill the rectangle with White. Now, goto Filter>Noise>Add Noise and match the settings that you see below.
3. While holding down Ctrl, click on your layer to select the rectangle. Then, goto the channels tab in your layers palette and make a new channel. Fill the new selection with White. Now, de-select the rectangle(Ctrl+D.)
4. Now, go to Filter>Sketch>Torn Edges and match the settings in the image below.
5. Now, hold Ctrl and click on the channel to select the torn rectangle. Now, go back to the layers tab and select your layer. Now, goto Select>Transform Selection and while holding Alt, click and drag the top and side handles and make the selection smaller then the paper. See my image below.
6. Now, just goto Select>Inverse and press the backspace key. If you want, you can add holes and lines to make it look like lines paper. See my image below to get an idea of what your image should look like.
