TREASURE magazine claims codes solved, treasure found

In 1982 and 1983, TREASURE magazine published a series of articles by Boyd M. Jolley, on the Beale codes. These comprise the most elaborate and spectacular claim of solution of the codes and discovery of the treasure vault.

At the very least, it's a good yarn and interesting reading. At most, well, is is true? You be the judge.

These articles are reproduced in their entirety except that, for brevity, some passages which repeat the Beale story have been skipped. These are indicated by "...". My own inserted notes start with NB.

My thanks go to Heath Smith for sending me this material.

Before I believe this story, or any other, I need to see a verifiable solution to the codes.
