The question of dropping out of school is a worldwide issue. All the governments of the world are facing this phenomenon and they are trying to spot the real causes so that they could find appropriate solutions to alleviate it. The causes however, differ from one country to another and they are varied and sometimes hard to detect and frame.Morocco also suffers from this phenomenon. The students are invited through this activity to think seriously about the matter for one day they may be one of the dropouts. We emphasized particularly on the high school because many of the students could provide us with real cases happened to one or several of their classmates.
The students will discuss the causes, the consequences and the possible remedies as well as the people capable of interfering to find plausible solutions. Critical thinking is needed here to get the complete image and go beyond the limitations of the surface causes and solutions suggested by officials. By the end of the workshop the students will write reports on this activity in addition to paragraphs summing up the ideas raised.
