LFFL News Line

Meeting Results:
A meeting was held on Sunday September 8th. Representatives from The Maulers, The Thunder, The Nailers, The Locomotives, and The Vikings were in attendance. Please read all the news lines to catch up on what rule changes were voted in.

Extended Line Up Deadlines:
Line ups must now be submitted one day before the first NFL game of each week. If an NFL game is scheduled on Thursday, then line ups are due Wednesday night. If the first game is Sunday, then line ups are due on Saturday night.

Tight End Added To Each Roster:
Each Franchise will now choose 3 tight ends on draft day.

Fees and Payouts:
Franchise fee for the 2004 season has been set once again at $20. Payouts are as follows: $20 for each division winner. $60 goes to the LycoBowl loser. And $100 goes to the LycoBowl winner.
Trade Policy Change:
Trades can no longer be made during the LFFL season. However a new trade policy has been put into place. Trades can now be made from the day franchise players are announced until the start of the draft. Trades can now include draft picks. You can now trade one or both of your franchise players in exchange for one or two draft picks from another team. In addition, you are no longer resticted to trade within a given position. QBs can now be traded for RBs. And so on. (EXAMPLE: If Team A, who picks 10th, trades a player to Team B, who picks 1st, for Team B's first overall draft pick. Then Team A would pick 1st and 10th in the first round, while Team B would have three franchise players and would NOT get to select a player in the first round.)

New Injury Policy For Franchise Players:
In the past, if a franchise player suffered an injury before the draft - the LFFL onwer was allowed to drop that player and claim another from their previous roster. This policy will no longer be in effect. If a franchise player gets injured before the LFFL draft, an owner may not chose a different franchise player.

Draft Day Announced:
The 2004 draft will be held on Saturday September 18th. The War Room will open at 5:30pm and the draft will begin at 6:30pm. The donation of a covered dish for the draft day meal will be appreciated, however it is not manditory.
