Dear Coed Softball Participants,
Springtime is right around the corner and so is another exciting season
of UMPR Coed Softball League action. Please note that this season, the
league will be ASA Certified and we will follow all ASA Rules for play and
equipment. The captain’s meeting will be held the second week of April (Monday,
April 12, 2004 at 7:00 PM at the Parks and Recreation Office) with
practice and games following shortly thereafter.
We have had an overwhelming response to our league for the
upcoming season and only have limited space available. With this in
mind, I have constructed the following registration deadline timetable to
accommodate both returning and new teams.
- Registration (full check & complete roster) will be taken for
returning teams only, until Monday March 29, 2004.
This will allow teams that participated in the past first opportunity to
register. If a returning team does not register prior to
March 29, 2004 they may lose their
chance to participate in the league.
- New teams may bring in their full registration anytime and they will
be numbered in order of receipt and waitlisted. After
March 29, 2004 any new teams will be
permitted admission to the league based on their waitlist number and
availability (max. 28 teams).
- Registration will end Friday April 9, 2004
or until all spots have been filled, whichever comes first.
I hope that this system is understandable for all the
teams. Remember that a full check ($700) and a complete and legible
roster form must be returned in order to be considered for admission to the
