Flyfishing Bryce Canyon Utah continues

I would also like to include some pictures I have taken of the surrounding lakes, streams, and colorful rock formations in the general area here around Bryce Canyon in my webside to impress on to people visting my site how beatiful the outdoors is here. I will also include some pictures of the fish that I have caught on that lake or stream.

The following pictures are in thumbnails and by clicking on them you will bring up the full size images that I have captured of this area.

Duck Creek

This picture of Duck Creek is about 50 miles from Bryce Canyon and this stream is fair to poor for flyfishing. The trout here are mostly Browns. For fly types to use as the fish in this stream are picky contact me.

East Fork River

This picture I took is the stream I talked about on the previous pages that runs into Tropic Reservoir. Named the East Fork of the Sevier. Located about a half hour drive from Bryce Canyon.

Tropic Reservoir

This is a picture of Tropic Reservoir.

Panguitch Lake

Here is a photo of Panguitch Lake. This lake is located within a hours' drive from Bryce Canyon or a half hour drive from the town of Panguitch. This lake is ideal to flyfish from a boat and also this lake carries some of the largest trout in the state.

Panguitch Lake Creek

Here is a photograph of the stream that runs out of Panguitch Lake only a couple miles downstream from the outlet of the lake.

Panguitch Lake Creek

Here also is another photo of Panguitch Lake stream in the same location.

Mammoth Creek

This is a picture of Mammoth Creek. Located about a half hour drive from Bryce Canyon near the small town of Hatch. This creek contains decent brown trout and rainbows and is in a good location just a small distance away from Bryce.

Posse Lake

This here is a photo of Posse Lake. Located over 9000 feet up in the high mountains of the Grand Staircase National Monument, this lake which is about an hour and a half drive from Bryce, has very good fishing here and a lot of action. Also note that there is snow in the picture, which was took in early October as the weather and temperature changes rapidly in the high mountain desert even in summer.

Posse Lake

Here is another picture of Posse Lake taken from a different angle. Notice there is some people fishing from a float device which is ideal for this lake as it is a smaller lake where no motorized boats are allowed. A perfect lake for the serious flyfisherman or woman.

Trout

This is a picture of a rainbow trout that I caught at Posse Lake. This fish was gave me a good fight and was pulled from the Lake half dead and bleeding.
