About the Pythia

The Pythia is a mouthpiece: A pretty neat mouthpiece (that of Apollo, no less), but still, a vessel through whom those more worthy might speak.

I have shamelessly appropriated themes from the classical world because, well, I happen like it. However, tempting as it is to embark on classics based expansion and polemic at every given opportunity... I have resisted. Mainly due to a perfect awareness that plenty of information already exists out there.

In fact the content here is rather eclectic. This is for a couple of reasons, the first being that I happen to like being eclectic. There are edifying passages by St. Augustine, mixed in with much that is secular, and a good pinch of the simply inane. It is merely a rather random assortment of stuff which I quite like. Unless I find a job soon it may become more cohesive, but hopefully it will not come to that. The second reason is simply that I don't know enough about any one subject to focus in usefully on that.

As such then I have attempted to provide links to more comprehensive and informative sources... follow them and you never know, you might even find something interesting to read...

If all else fails I shall fall back on pointing out that the Pythia was pretty unfathomable, fragmented, and yes, totally insane.
