NUVO NEWSEEKLY AUGUST 2-9 2001

The Fountain Room July 26

Pizzle has to be one of the loudest bands in the city. Either it's Tom Watts' vocals or Mike Metzger's guitar, I can't tell which, but even Scoth's powerhouse drums were humbled by the sheer volume of the rest of the band. Performing more often off of the stage than on, their wall of noise encouraged at least 2 or 3 enthusiastic "booth-sitting motherfuckers" (Tom's words) to get up and hurt each other for fun to the volley of tunes like "What's Wrong With My Foot"; an ode to a man and his gout.
