Element Issue #13

Review in MRR #207 Last thing is this fuckin awesome zine i got while i was at the chicago fest. It's called Element and is a skate/hardcore zine. Super well done with engaging interviews with ed templeton, 7-seconds, the swarm, etc. The pictures are well scanned, but it's not polished at all. Really, really good zine, so i suggest you write him and get a copy.

I decided to start doing the zine again because i was getting sick of the over saturation of high gloss full color covers, wanna be heartattack, kiss ass reviews, fully digital layouts, that bore the hell out of me...it's time to bring cut and paste back...So after over 4 years and lots of talk here is issue 13. FEATURING: Interviews with Ed Templeton, 7-Seconds, The Swarm, Billy Kahn, articles, rantings, photos, and all that other zine crap.

Christ almmighty! I've never skated in my life, and after reading this I'm ready to grab a deck, crank up some Suicidal and hit the pools. Not only does this dense little cube of punk rock and skating have gobs to say, they're visually appealing without falling into the slick, glossy trap that fanzines like Thrasher did. An excellent effort recommended for those both new and veteran to the punk/skate scene.(RD) mrr#213 also on the top ten list for that issue.
