King Adora release single "Friday Night Explodes" on a Friday night (3 August). They
describe it "A speed and alcohol fuelled celebration of excess, placing drugs on their
rightful pedestal. About sleazy club culture. About addiction. A sort of pre-band
autobiography". Friday Night Explodes and a selection of new songs can be downloaded
for free via the Superior Quality Record Shop at www.superiorqualityrecordings.co.uk and

There will also be limited release of 2,000 CDs available by post from The Superior Quality

King Adora have a huge cyberspace following (with - at last count - around 30 sites
dedicated to them). 21st century punx with 21st century vision, King Adora have
relinquised the chance of a third Top 40 hit - as per previous releases "Suffocate"
(39/Feburary) and "Bionic" (30/May) - to give "Friday Night Explodes" and it's b-sides
way to rock fans as a download on the net. They want to be heard and think the vibrant
UK scene deserves attention. The video for the song, which has been shown on MTV, is also
being streamed via Superior Quality Shop and www.kingadora.com.
"Friday Night Explodes" is taken from the chart album "Vibrate You". Since it's release
in May, King Adora have spent much of the summer writing and demoing new material for
release later in the year. This is a band that tour hard and will play live dates
around the new releases.
King Adora are a fantastic live band whose shows involve nothing less than huge rock tunes,
hysteria, stage invasions and ferocious performances. They really have to be seen to be
believed. Having recently headlined (and packed out!) London's 2000 capacity Astoria at
the end of a hugely successful UK tour, King Adora were immediately invited by Queens Of
The Stone Age as special guests on their June UK dates - Having ripped up the stages of
the last year's rock festivals, King Adora were invited back to T In The Park and the
Carling Weekend on 24th August (Reading) and 25th August (Leeds).
Word has spread internationally, King Adora make their first trip to Japan in August
(18th/19th Summer Sonic Festival and 21st Liquid Rooms, Tokyo). They are in big demand tho
they've never been out of Britain before...
