Jason Allain is from New Iberia, where the grass is green, the men wrestle alligators, and the women wear long dresses and always carry umbrellas. Originally he played guitar and sang backup, but since our old bass player (Matt Chapman) left for college, he now plays bass and sings backup. He is known for his wild onstage antics, and his fling with a cardboard giraffe.

Jake started the band way way way back in the summer of 2000. Originally, he sang (badly) and played a little guitar. Now that Matt left he does all of the guitar and singing in every song.....God help us.

Mark is the story behind the band name. In the beginning, we called ourselves "so-called" but only Jake liked it, so the search for a new name began. While joking around "Marx Johnson" came up and it stuck. Mark enjoys long walks on the beach, the color blue, and Goodwill.
