New punk bands have simply lost sight of the esscence of the word Punk. Bands like Blink182 feel the need to market themselves as Punk rockers when really they are just a jumped up boy band. Punk is about pissing people off. The only person blink 182 pisses off is me!! Mainstream is not a word best associated with Punk rock and MTV only emphasises this corporate mentality. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MUSIC!!! What we really need is a totally new wave of Punk rock which is totally different from anything that exists today. Anyone wanna try?
