Some Views on Music, and Bands, by Angeline

The Best Show to ever put on is the ones where some punk rockers who you don't even know come up to your house, knock on your door, and ask to hear you play some music for them. If your not home, they wait all afternoon at the curb until you finally arrive. Although the band may be on Haitus, they still feel compelled to play with all their heart in the basement for these kids.

There are 2 ways of getting to the top in the music business. One is a long path, which can be rough. In the long run however, it can be rewarding. The other path can be quicker to achieve, but the success may only be short-term and the cons will always outweigh the pros.

You can climb to the top steadily by staying true to your convictions, your friends, as well as fans, or you can step on their heads to get where you want to go. By doing the latter, you might mingle with socially acceptable people, but they do not hold the key to new oppurtunity. Those whom you step on, boosted you to where you might go. They say It's always lonely at the top.

By staying true to yourself, you build a strong foundation of friends and fans. Moving up to fast can only create a one hit wonder. You want people to remember you, not laugh about you years later, if they even recall who you are.

The Toxic Offenders choose the long road, it may not get them to the very top, but at least they will have a good time, and hopefully a nice view. It's about being persistant, unbreakable, and loving what you do most. Their goal is to play what comes from within, and share it with those that can relate. The best advice for any band starting off is: Be true to yourself, your bandmates, friends and fans. Appreciate what they do for you and don't let your egos over run the show, because that show could be your last. Your not playing for the Venue, the label, or other bands, your playing for the people who come to hear your music.
