Newsletter #5

Hey Everyone! This is the Palace Newsletter 5th Edition. They just keep get better so please opt-in for club notes to stay informed of when the newest newsletters are coming out. I have alot of fun putting it together. Its our own online newsletter written by Palace members for Palace members. The newsletters will be done 1-2 a month from now on depending on if we get enough participation. *Club Chatroom-We will be scheduling times for future chats. They will be based on bolt time which is Eastern Standard Time. So opt-in for club notes if you wish to participate. Well, you can start off with soaking your feet in warm water with a nice smelling body wash for about 5-10 minutes. After that, rub and massage moisturizing cream into your feet and pay lots of attention to where the calcules are. Then, take a pumice stone and scrub all the rough spots on your feet. Then take a foot file and GENTLY rub across the calcule to smoothen it out. Repeat this process every other day.

Well, I don't know of any creams that could get rid of those marks BUT you can look in the skin care section of a drug store. Look for creams that get rid of marks and have fairly good moisturizers in them. You wouldn't want to have really dry skin! You could try Retin-A cream. (any product with retinol)

Well, it depends what exercises you want to do. Start by eating more healthier foods and do stretches when you wake up in the morning and take deep breaths before you go to bed.

Dance Upon the Air

This is the first novel in the Three Sisters Island Trilogy. The story revolves around Nell Channing who faked her own death to get away from an abusive husband. She travels around the United States until she reaches Maine where she sees an island off in the distant and she decides this is where she was meant to come.  She takes a job as a baker/chef in the local book store where she comes into contact with the people who will be her friends for the rest of her life. They are Mia, the book store owner, Ripley, the local constable and Zach, the the sheriff also Ripley's older brother.

Time continues, Nell learns that she has a gift and she shares that gift with Mia and Ripley and finds herself shoved into a three-hundred year old legend. Nell also gets romantically involved with Zach, which in itself deals with the legend.

It was just two weeks ago that Paris Hilton told the world that she and fiance Paris Latsis would be married within two months. Then in early July the couple jetted to Greece for a month-long vacation. But her Greek odyssey has seemingly come to an abrupt end” with the hotel heiress leaving in a huff.

"She's gone," Latsis' father, Gregory Kasidokostas, tells Star. "They had a tiff and she flew out. My son is much too young to marry. His studies come first."

Sources say that Hilton's eagerness to marry the 22-year-old shipping heir caused the blow-up. On July 15 ” just two weeks into their vacation” the young couple returned to Athens before Hilton, 24, split.

Latsis was distraught, but his relatives were quite relieved. "He's in love with her," says an insider, "but his family hopes it's all over. If there's to be a wedding, the family thinks they should wait a few years” but that's not on her agenda."

What has been on her agenda, it seems, is an uncontrollable need to talk up her wedding plans, flash her engagement ring (reportedly worth $5 million) and generally irritate Latsis' well-heeled but very discreet family.

"Older members of the clan are quietly delighted" that the relationship seems over, says a source close to the Latsises.

"They're sick of Paris shooting off her mouth about elaborate wedding plans." Those plans reportedly include Hilton wanting to be married in London's St. Paul's Cathedral site of Princess Diana's 1981 wedding to Prince Charles. (She was turned down: Only Royals are allowed to wed in the cathedral.) "She's gone over the top," says a source. "It makes the Greeks cringe."

Latsis is studying at UCLA to prepare himself to take over the family's shipping and banking empire, estimated at $7.5 billion. And while his father has been outwardly cordial to his son's American fiance” he described her as "very sweet, very pleasant indeed!" after their first meeting on July 4” sources say he's cool to the wedding plan, as is Latsis' mother, Mariana. "She's polite but won't condone the marriage," says a source. "Mariana has avoided being photographed with [Hilton]."

So what happens now? While Paris' rep denies the couple has split up, Star has learned the two aren't speaking. Who knows, perhaps they'll be back together by week's end?

Pamela Anderson is refuting reports that she and ex husband Tommy Lee are planning to tie the knot for the third time. Pamela told reporters on Wednesday that "there is absolutely no truth to the recent tabloid reports that Tommy Lee and I are engaged and getting married" despite claims by Lee on Tuesday that there would be wedding bells "soon."

'Napoleon Dynamite' toy line doesn't include llama--yet by TUcheergurl08

In news that'll have "Napoleon Dynamite" fans coast-to-coast "Gosh!"-ing with anticipation, McFarlane Toys has announced plans for a line of collectible figures based on the cult film.

The five figures include a gangsta Kip, a dazed-looking Pedro and three Napoleons: one in mid-dance, one decked out in prom attire and one engaging in hot tetherball action. They'll hit stores in November priced at $12.99 each, while a deluxe, 12-inch talking Napoleon figure will retail for $39.99

According to Todd McFarlane of McFarlane Toys, depending on how well the "Napoleon Dynamite" figures are received, a second line might be made, featuring, among other characters, Napoleon's ham-loving llama, Tina.

"We could do a whole lot more 'Napoleon' figures," he said. "There's so many amazingly quirky and funny characters in the film, we can pretty much just take our pick."

Actress Angelina Jolie is facing strong criticism over her adoption of Ethiopian orphan Zahara Marley after it emerged the baby has a grandmother desperate to raise the money to keep her.
Almaz Blfnhe, 45, toiled to care for the baby for four months after her daughter Mentewabe died from complications in childbirth, but eventually accepted she was too poor to look after her.

Children's charities are critical of the Mr. & Mrs. Smith star and argue she would have done more good donating some of her $54 million fortune to the heartbroken family.

Matthew Collinson, of the League for African Development says, "A more sensitive solution would have been for her to help the grandmother in the same way that people sponsor children abroad. Alternatively she could have adopted a child that truly had no one else on the planet to care for it."

Blfnhe says, "No woman wants to give away her own flesh and blood, but the adoption office said they could give her a better life."

She appeals to Angelina, "Send me a picture one day so I can remember my granddaughter and her beautiful big brown eyes, just like my daughter's eyes."

Britney Spears has been in some fights with her mom about her dad and that Kevin is right for her baby. After the fight the next day mother and doughter was not even talking to each other. She has also being yelling at Kevin for his smoking and not taggin on her shopping trips.



Denise has taken Charlie back! She ha figured that she can not handle a new baby and a 1 year old on her own. "Charlie's been showing Denise he's serious about making it work." So I guess there will be no divorce!

Mischa Barton is newly single and looking good, stepping out with a cute new companion she won't leave home without: Charlie, a mixed-breed dog she adopted from The Amanda Foundation, an L.A. animal-rescue group. On July 8, the stylish O.C. actress completed her look ? a satin camisole, slim-fit jeans and ankle boots ? with her new pooch as she went to lunch with friends in West Hollywood.

A radiant Angelina Jolie was seen shopping with her 6-month-old daughter, Zahara Marley, in Calabasas, Calif., which is near the Malibu home of Brad Pitt ? where the baby as well as Pitt have been recovering from recent hospital stays.

As PEOPLE reports in its new issue, just a day after picking up her newly adopted daughter in Ethiopia, Jolie began to worry something was wrong. Zahara Marley Jolie, already underweight at just 9 lbs., wasn't drinking enough formula.

Jolie took Zahara for a checkup, and wound up spending a week by her daughter's side in a New York City hospital as the baby battled a bacterial infection that, left untreated, could have been life-threatening. (Zahara's mother is believed to have died of AIDS a month after giving birth and her father is unknown.)

"Like anybody else," Jolie "was a mom who was very concerned and afraid," says Dr. Jane Aronson, the pediatrician and expert in international adoption medicine who treated Zahara.

Fortunately, after being treated with fluids for dehydration and antibiotics to combat what Aronson diagnosed as a salmonella infection, Zahara left the hospital "happy and gurgling" on July 15 with a clean bill of health. She also gained more than a pound.

Angelina, Zahara and the actress' son, 3-year-old Maddox, then flew to L.A. July 16 to reunite with another recuperating friend: They stayed at Pitt's Malibu estate as he spent the week recovering from a bout of viral meningitis.

Pamela Anderson says the third time will not be the charm for her and ex-hubby Tommy Lee.

The 38-year-old actress has taken to her Web site to deny reports that she and the Motley Crue drummer are planning to get married a third time.

"I am not engaged to Tommy Lee," Anderson writes on her official site. "We are friendly, we're family... but that is not the truth."

She later added: "I am not getting married ... Period."

The idea isn't exactly far-fetched: Anderson and Lee, 42, first married in 1995. They divorced in 1998, and then reunited briefly in 1999. The pair have two children together: Brandon, 9, and Dylan Jagger, 7.

Rumors of an engagement circulated after paparazzi snapped photos of the two vacationing together in Hawaii. Anderson, who currently stars on FOX's Stacked, wrote about the trip (and the photographers) on her Web site, saying, "Just got back from a wonderful family trip in Hawaii ... the kids love it there ... it was nice to have the family together ... we don't spend much time with Tommy ... it was fun ... more fun than difficult! Nicole has only been in two movies with the latest one being Sk8er Boi. Most people don't even know of this movie. However, the real story here isn't who has more money or who is more famous its wether or not Paris and Nicole will be forced into doing a fourth season of The Simple Life together. Everyone knows that Paris and Nicole are no longer friends. What it is about no one knows but we do know that they do not want to do the show together. The producers have other ideas though. They thought that the duo made a great reality show and should do a fourth season. Even though the two do not want to do the show they maybe contractually forced into doing the show. Paris thinks that her new best-friend Kimberly Stewart, daughter of rocker Rod, would be a perfect replacement or Nicole. What will happen no one knows but when the news is released be sure to update you!

Alyssa was the smartest girl in the whole city. She was very clever and could figure out a solution to anything. She knew she depend on Alyssa.

Hey Palace Members! I just wanted to tell you a little bit about myself since alot of you don't know me that well. I'm 22, and I live in Romania. I'm not in college, and I don't work. I hate working especially full time. I'm not even sure what I want to be yet, but its cool. ;) I do plan on going to college sometime in the near future.

Last year, I left almost everything I had in America behind (except my winter clothes) and moved to Romania. I was kind of nervous about flying across the ocean and going to another country, but David was with me. I didn't know this before, but on the flight across the ocean, you don't go straight across the ocean. You are over land most of the time because the plane goes up north. :) That made me feel ALOT better. I won't go into all the details of that flight because this isn't my life story. I want to tell you about Romania now.

Romania is a beautiful country. The crime rate is low, and the people are very religious and friendly. When I first got here I had jet lag so I slept almost all of the time. It was winter. I had never seen snow before. So I got to see snow for the very first time. I think its amazing. I also got to see mountains for the first time. I love the mountains.

So as you can see, Romania is a very beautiful country and a nice place to visit. I wouldn't recomend living here though because it can be very boring if you don't speak the language. I understand it, but can't speak it yet.

what kind of hair cut would look good on me? (look at my snapshot in my profile to see a pic of my hair) my hair is black, and i made a big mistake by cutting a bit of it short to make "bangs" and now the "bangs" are up to my chin..what should i do with my hair?

AngelAmanda9502 says: it's hard to tell by your picture, but if you want to get rid of the bangs you could try adding in layers, starting with the length of your bangs. that's really all i can say without seeing a better picture of your hair

I have long curly hair, that is mixed grade.. like in the pic, only now its to the middle of my back, and I wanted to know of any styles I can wear that are easy and make it look less frizzy when it is dry? IF you know of any products that are proven to have worked , could you please let me know of them? I am desperate to find something by School Starting...End of August! 

AngelAmanda9502 says: if you're willing to go really short, i would say go with a style that's really short in the back (layered) and then longer in the front, so where the front pieces are long enough to tuck behind the ears. it looks really good with curly hair. once again, there are lots of different products to get rid of frizz. My favorite being the "bed head" stuff.

Because of the hum. my hair is like hay. Can I please have some tips on how to get it nonhay feel to my hair? For my best friends wedding, one of the girls want a hair style that its 1/2 up and down. Were can I fand the best hair styles that we can all aggree on and will have the same style

AngelAmanda9502 says: the humidity doesn't really make hair feel like hay....try deep conditioning treatments though to get rid of that feeling, or malibu treatments. if you have hard water at your house that could be one of the reasons for you hair feeling like hay. as for updos, there are so many different sites online that have styles, and you could even go around to the salons in your area and check out their books there.

AngelAmanda9502 says: Yes, it's true. You should really only wash your hair every other day, unless you have very greasy, oily hair. if that's the case, then wash it every day because it needs it, but if your hair isn't oily, then try washing it only every other day. washing it all the time does take out nutrients and other stuff that's in the hair.

In front of the congregation she sung him praises, but at home it was a different story. She and her husband belittled him, manipulated him, and tried to control his life. They treated him like he was a little toy.

It was a bright, sunny, airy, Easter Sunday and Zander was nervous. He thought he could handle the Honor of playing Jesus in the Easter play, but then this girl arrived. He noticed her immediately, and was blown away by the magnetism she had. As if he wasn't nervous already, Lena was so excited to see her. In fact, the anxious girls of the teen Sunday School group beamed and their high pitched voices harmonized perfectly with the highschool-aged guys' baratone whispers. Their eyes were locked on her at all times. Older people from the church came up to her, hugging her, kissing her, and telling her how much she had grown.

His grandmother was one of the people who had flocked around her. This made him uneasy, because Granny Hanes was difficult to please. She rarely wasted her time on people who didn't matter. In order to matter, you had to be well established in the community, like council member. If you did not fall into the category of community leaders, you had to be perfect in her beady, narrow, discriminating eyes. It was only a split second before he decided the best way to get Granny Hanes's approval was to get as close to the girl as possible.

At first, he thought that his intense, long-lashed eyes, seductive lips, and irrisistable charm would get her instantaneously. Then, he looked around. Zander's statuette of beauty was now by Brandon, staring into his chestnut eyes, in animated conversation. She would look away every so often, and her honey cheeks would flush with a pinkish-brown color. Occasionaly, she would say a few word's to Brandon's cousin Mark, who would just grin and shake his head, sometimes laughing this signature laugh he had. Both guys were attractive, in their own way. Brandon's light brown eyes stood out against his brown skin like two jewels in a dirt road. Mark was darker than Brandon, but had onyx eyes, that were fixed in a deep stare at whoever he was talking to and had the power to melt metal. Both guys were around Zander's height, each meeting his six-foot -four inch frame with some ease. He realized he had some serious competition. Immediately, he thought of his game-plan.

As soon as she was alone, he made himself visible in his costume. She was wearing one too. Her part was given to her at the last minute, because no one expected her arrival, but Lena insisted that changes would be made. Right before the play was supposed to start, he asked "How do you know my grandmother?" . She looked confused, and said "Lena? She is like, my spiritual counselor, if that makes sense." Zander grins at the similarity he shares with her, "No, not Lena, Mrs. Hanes." She grins, "She and my grandmother are friends. Who are you, I mean, besides Jesus?" Zander realizes that he has been the scratch on his family's , otherwise smooth slate and says," I'm Zander. I'm staying with my grandparents, for a little while. What is your name?" She smiled and held out her hand, "I am Tianna, but my friends call me T, it's time to go! You're supposed to be up there in a couple of seconds." He thought she wasn't interested and annoyed he hadn't paid much attention.

He hurried toward the altar and Tianna turned to Jasper, "Ooh! My oh my! God is good. Sweet , sexy, Jesus." Jasper frowned, like usual, but the ends of her mouth turned up a little. " Uh-oh. I guess Zander met you? This church won't see any rest. You already have all the guys here at your heals, but this one, he's trouble." Tianna smiled. She started leading the way toward the altar. The whole time, Zander floated through her mind. What does Jasper know? I bet she didn't even talk to him once. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and I'll see what he is really up to. She made sure once everyone moved upstairs to the sanctuary, after the play was over and Easter Breakfast had been finished, she would investigate some.

The whole time Zander stood at the altar, he kept his eyes on Tianna. He wondered how someone who was so admired, hadn't been mentioned since he arrived to Springsville. She was a mystery to him and he was determined to uncover it, and possibly her. But that would take time, he could tell she wasn't that type of girl.

What will happen next? What is the deal with Mark and Tianna? Is Brandon really a threat to Zander? Will Jasper be proved right? Tune into the next installment of Playing in the Pews.

Layla and matt were the cutest couple you could have seen. when it ended they were both full of regret and sorrow.they both wanted what they once had but they were both sure they were over one another. One day Layla was on a park bench thinking about matt. Then she saw him coming down the street. To make him think she was okay she moved closer to the guy next to her and asked the time. Once Matt saw he turned and went the other way. A tear escaped from Matt's eye. A sobb was made from Layla. A couple Day's later at the mall Matt was dragged there with his cousin and her friend.Matt couldn't get Layla out of his head. Then he saw her on her cell phone walking forward, the him ran to his cousins friend and held her hand. Layla saw and walked into the nearest store. He thought maybe he had hurt her so much. as a tear came down she called her mother for a ride home. lastly when matt took his dog foe a walk he was hoping to see layla and get a chance to talk to her. when he saw her he felt his heart skip a beat. Its been only her that could give him that feeling. She saw him and in fear he would walk by without a word she thought... if she acted like she almost got hit by a car he would come and make sure she was okay. The car came walked out.......LAYLA!!! as the car pulled over matt ran out to her. "Layla no, please dont leave me again!!!" with her very last breath " i love you matt" she died in his arms.

Vitamins and calcium are extremely important for young adults because they keep our bodies going.With out vitamins and calcium our bones and cells weaken and are unabel to fight off infection or our bones can break more easily. Vitamins help our eyes see , our tissue repair itself. The effects of not getting the proper vitamins can be seen imediately, you lack energy, you are more suseptable to illness, your skin takes on a dullness, your eyes are not as clear. Women also really need to take vitamins such as Iron because during our minstral cycles we loose bood that has iron. You can get iron in fish like salmon. Vegetarians really need to take a vitamin supplement because since they don't eat meat or byproducts of a animal they dont get alot of the necessecary vitamins that they should to stay healthy, and some of them can only be found in meat . Before starting a vitamin supplement you should consult your docter so they can help you find the right one for you based on your activity and eating habits. Vitamins can also help clear acne!!!!
