Buffy was born to the now divorced Joyce and Hank Summers in 1981. She pretended to be Power Girl with her cousin Celia when she was younger, a very prophetic choice of character. Later though Celia died in hospital when Buffy was aged only eight.

In the fall of 1995 Buffy began attending Hemery High School in Los Angeles. In 1996 she was elected May Queen and aproached by her first Watcher Merrick. Merrick died and Buffy was expelled after she burned down the school gymnasium, her parents finalised their divorce soon after. Her mother gained custody of Buffy and they moved to 1630 Revello Drive, Sunnydale, California. Buffy enrolled as a sophomore at Sunnydale High School.

She again took up her duties, though reluctantly at first, with Rupert Giles as her new Watcher. Thanks to being the Slayer Bufy has increased strength, agility and stamina but is also a skilled ice skater, because of her "Dorothy Hamill phase". As the Slayer she sometimes has prophetic dreams and has the ability to sence vampires.

Though she went on dates with Owen Thurman, Camron Walker and Tom Warner her only successful relationship (bar Riley) has been with Angel, tis ended very badly. Buffy and Angel, a vampire with a soul, fell in love. Unfortunatly the curse that gave him his soul depended on him suffering for eternity over the evil past deeds he had committed. So when Angel achieved pure happiness with Buffy his soul was torn from him and he reverted back to Angelus, his evil self.

Buffy's style of Slayerhood is unique. Her training is focused very strongly on the physical sides of Slayerdom, while her friends and Giles take over the intellectual side. But it must work as Buffy has killed the Master, stopped accension and prevented Hell spilling onto earth many times.
