Welcome to Chett Darkforest's Webpage.

Chett Darkforest AKA "The Darkforest" is the alias I use for my player characters in MUDs and MMORPGs.

I played Everquest as the same character; a Wood Elf Ranger, since Sept. 8, 2000. During the years I was a member of many Guilds; some of which I was an officer/Raid Leader for, but in later years I found more enjoyment as a well behaved general member, who logged in each night to chat and raid with online friends. The best years playing EQ were the earliest; when exploring dungeons was spooky, corpse runs were a pain, and traveling was an adventure.

In the end I learned that Servers will come and go as they split or merge. Guilds will grow, implode, stand firm, or fall apart. Eventually the plug will be pulled and Norrath will cease to exist; while developers continue to create new worlds. So the most important thing is to Enjoy the good times while they last, and make lots of friends. Because MMORPGs will come and go, but its the Players who will Remain.

I experienced Everquest both as a casual player and a Hard Core Raider.
