Harry's great, but why should he get all the glory? It's time to recognize all those who helped him on his way.
Lily Potter: To me, Lily Potter is one of the most admirable people of the Harry Potter series. Selflessly giving away her own life so that her infant son may live, she embodied the true spirit and unconditional love of motherhood. The charm that she conjured to protect baby Harry was not only powerful, but clever-- even the Dark Lord didn't expect it, and the foolish mistake of attacking little Harry Potter brought him to ruins for eleven years. So tip your hats or dip a curtsy to Lily Potter-- a loving mother and true heroine!
Neville Longbottom: Good old Neville! He's blundering, yes. He tends to be awkward, true. He manages to turn his potions into spills that burn holes in people's shoes, but he posesses charming loyalty. It is this loyalty that stirs the bravery within him. And both of these traits are what caused him to try to stop Harry and company from leaving Gryffindor tower during their first year, in turn earning Gryffindor the winning points to score the House Cup. It was his loyalty to Harry and Hermione that drove him to face the wrath of Professor McGonagall to warn them that Draco was going to tell about Norbert the dragon. Though the result isn't always helpful, and most often is even harmful to the cause, Neville's heart is always in the right place and his motives are always pure. To Neville Longbottom-- a hero at heart!
