From "George Selwyn and his Contemporaries" comes this statement: "To Lady Yarmouth.. and her husband [later 3^rd Marquess of Hertford] ... he [Queensberry] not only bequeathed the sum of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds, his two houses in Piccadilly, his villa at Richmond, and all the furniture which they contained, but Lord Hertford was also named his residuary legatee, by which it was supposed that a further sum of two hundred thousand pounds might eventually devolve on him.”
