I think everyone was shocked by my announcement of the age/marital status/location of my boyfriend. Whatever.

But Beasley and his girlfriend broke up. That's kind of interesting.

Moving in and getting settled was much too hectic for my taste. I'm glad it's over with. I had my first day of class today, and I have to go again tomorrow. And I'm working the desk for the first time this year tonight. It's busy, but not awful. I could probably take a shift a week. And I may get a job at the journalism school as well. I talked to the secretary today, and I may get something regular soon.

I haven't finished unpacking, and right now my bed isn't even made because I just had my mattress changed. The one that was on the bed was pretty nasty so I have a nice new looking one. But I'm missing random pieces of furniture, like my matching desk chair and my night table. The problem is that they can't replace these things because they've usually been busted up. So I have milk crates for my night table and a padded chair from the dining hall for my desk. I've also got an extra bookcase and a spare plastic chair. I'm not going to complain about either one.

I haven't begun to set up the insanity on my ceiling, but soon. Maybe tomorrow night. I guess I'll see soon enough.I'm working too late to start it tonight.

Society day went well - we got lots of boys signing up to join the stupid journal. Exciting. Boys. Not that I need one.

Matt called last night, actually, and it was good. I was really happy to talk to him. It actually made me pretty sad. He called back to ask if I had voicemail so he could leave a message. He's so adorable. He made me cry actually, just because he was being so sweet. But I didn't want to talk too long because I had to make my bed and lie in it so I could try to sleep.

Okay, I did do that on purpose.

I, once again, forgot to mail the card for Matt and a thank you card for the people at the paper. I'll get to it eventually. I did get some things done, though. I signed up for some producer shifts for the radio people. I get to tell people who might actually have medical degrees or PhDs what to do. Interesting. And it gets me in good with the prof. I also gave photocopies of bloopers from the record and from the my paper to another prof. I'm sure he'll enjoy them. He taught copyediting so he likes getting bloopers.

I have to get back to my job again. And Matt since we're chatting. Later, like when I have the net in the comfort of my own room.
