Nala
Now Playing: Can You Feel The Love Tonight Elton John version 11
In the Original Movie:
Design: As a cub, nala was generally designed very well. Disney did a great job on Nala. Her green eyes are just the right color (the picture above, for some reason, shows blue eyes, but in the original movie they are green). I love her fur color. As an adult they did a great job making her look older, yet still the same Nala, and her design matched her voice so well, and vise versa ^-^ Overall I loved Nala, and if I weren't a die-hard Scar fan, she'd be my favorite.
Personality: Nala's personality. Where can I start? I love it! As a cubbie, she is cute. She has the same attitude Simba has when Zazu told them about their having to marry, the "Ew, I cant marry him, he's my friend! It'd be too weird." attitude. CUTE! (See a clip of that here., just remember to wait untill the music on this page ends first, otherwise you wont be able to hear it.) And she just loves rubbing it in when she pins Simba, which she always does *wink* woman power! ROAR! She is mischevious, in some ways less than Simba, in some ways more than Simba. As an Adult, however, she is glad to see Simba after all those years. Yet, unlike Simba, has matured more (probably because of the harsh living conditions she's had to struggle through) and wants for Simba to come back to Pride Rock to kill Scar (NO! *Hugs Scar toy*). She is hurt that he feels the way he does, and that he's changed so much. Lemme tell you, during that scene (which can be veiwed on the Simba page) I totally understood Nala, yet I also understood Simba, too. I tryed to have an open mind about both Simba and Nala's point of veiw. On one hand, Nala DIDNT know about why Simba was exhiled and her knowing that would have probably made her understand more, but on the other hand I understand that Simba had his reasons for not telling her. I mean, what was he supposed to say? "Well I'm sorry I changed and can't go back but it's because I killed my father, the king." I doubt anyone would say that to their lifetime best friend and girlfriend. But Simba and Nala were both blind, so it wasn't really either of their faults. (Scar... bad boy! *Huggles Scar toy again*)
In Simba's Pride:
Design: Disney, you have done it this time. In the second movie, Nala's coloring was off. And her chin was too big. If it were to show age, it doesn't make sense, because the sequel is picking up from where the original ended, and at the end of the original she still looked young when she and Simba had their cub, unless that was a different cub (as in NOT Kiara) that died or was kidnapped (Tanabi, maybe?) so, let me just say this, DISNEY! GET YOUR ARTISTS TO GET OFF OF THEIR LAZY @$$ES AND DRAW THE FRICKEN CHARACHTERS RIGHT! Geez...
Personality: Nala is still the same caring, wise lioness that was in the first movie, thank god. She and her daughter are alot alike, in fact her daughterr is worse than Simba and Nala ever were *ahem*. Look at these two pics for comparison:
Like mother like daughter, remember that both scenes in the above pictures have Timon and Pumbaa in them *wink*. So, Nala's personality didn't change much, in fact in my opinion, it was a little better, a little more mature. 10 points for Disney, but please do better on the third movie. PLEASE.
