Journey Tips
Here is a list of things I have learned in my own journeys, and that you might find helpful in avoiding mistakes that I have made in the past. The best tips I can give you though, is to never take advantage of glitches, and DONT multiplay! Multiplay is creation of muliple Hollow characters. The gods of Hollow frown upon such actions. This list is far from complete, and I will add more as time and knowledge permits.
- About 500 gold will purchase all gold armors, the glowing shield, and a dragonscale cloak. These are the best armors in the game so far, and since youll need the extra stamina gained from mining, its best to wait till you get there before you do any fighting.
- Right now, weapons are useless except for Pvp dueling. Because of the way Hollow is programmed, you gain stats faster if you fight without a weapon. So save your money, and if you have to, your pick axe can do 1 extra point of damage.
- If you have cure, you can up you magic very quickly. Cast cure on others when ever you have the stamina and Mp to do so. Then all you have to do is enter a battle with a monster and youll gain a point.
- And if you have cure, use it often in battle, even if you dont need it. This will up your stats and give you the much needed Mp that you cant gain by healing others out of battle.
- Healers can assist you, and gain stats themselves. Find the assistance of anyone that can cure you, and with their help, battle monsters that would normally threaten to kill you. Its best if you have a source of contact with them out side of Hollow such as Instant Messenger, to avoid accedental death.
- Explore. So what if you get lost, eventually youll find your way back to areas you know, or can seek assistance. Its best to have a full knowledge of the world around you.
- To avoid dying and losing your hard earned stats, escape from battle when your hp goes below 3x the monsters max damage, just incase you fail to escape once or twice. But every so often the 3rd time is not a charm and you might die. Shit happens.
- Rest whenever your idle. By resting you gain back Mp, stamina, and Hp. And heal or get healed. Pine essences are expensive.
- Pine essence is purchased in Hinds shop, and while they cost a few gold, will heal your Hp fully (only out of battle) always carry a few spare. Supus are also cures, though only for a few hp each, but also helpful.
- Hinds shop, which sells pines, supus, as well as an item to replenish your stamina, is 2 north of the first light path (west from outside the Kelay Tavern)
